...that Hasbro was testing the waters for a Rock Lords revamp?
From what was being suggested about the protoforms of Optimus and Starscream in 2007, that would imply a Rock Lords revamp is considered every 5 years now.
And we got rumblings of MASK joining G.I.Joe a while back, but no Sprial Zone? What, did the character likenesses revert back to the Japanese company once Tonka's contract ran out, like the Machine Robo/Gobots situation, or...
Oh yeah, this Unicron. Think his texture might make him a better statue than a figure? Something about him makes me think of those bigger, more detailed Ben 10 figures of larger characters, like Vilgax, the Highbreed, and Four-Arms when considering a physical representation of it. Of course, different scale issues and sharp edges and what not. Think Hasbro will start mandating animated designs have safety edges, or do they just assume that rubber makes everything possible?
As for the DVD, it seems redundant, but I guess bunching together a "movie" at the beginning and end of each season is a good way for anyone who doesn't get the Hub to try out Prime.
