Target is currently running a promotion on select toys, which includes Transformers. They currently have a sale running for 20% off Transformers items, both preorders and in-stock items, though this Saturday, October 8.

Sweet, I pre-ordered NEST Ratchet and Bonecrusher at 25% off between the promotion and the RedCard discount. Both were a pass at full price for me to wait out a sale, and here it is.

I think it's the pseudo-stealth force Strongarm that came with a minicon. Not sure, was surprised to see it as well on their ad.

Target can get iffy with the ad photos. I remember a print ad during Kingdom for leader class which showed Siege Shockwave.

Siege Jetfire- Walmart foolishly clearances because they dont want it. Goes on to be extremely popular and gets a second production run through Pulse.
ER Skylynx - Also Extremely Popular, and difficult for some to find because of the pandemic.
Kingdom Rodimus - Again, I'm not saying it wasn't popular, or it isn't a good toy. It is absolutely well executed. However Hasbro must have produced way more than previous CC for any retailer to have it on clearance a year after its release...
I already have Motormaster.... However if the rumors are true and 2023 Legacy Evo CC is Armada Prime, then I wont have to worry, because that holds no interest for me.

Well, I'm still looking for a discounted Jetfire. Never saw one at my Walmarts. Amazon has few at over $300, which is not something I'm prepared to pay for it.

I only ever saw Jetfire once at Walmart, and got it right away, never imagining they would clearance it out just weeks later. I also looked at Jetfire briefly on eBay, the prices were not as bad as I thought they would be. There were several in the $125-$150 range. Less than double retail after 3 years isn't too bad.
I think the 2bd production run, and to a lesser degree the SG version have kept it somewhat reasonable for a while at least.

Yeah seeing this is why I'm playing the long game with Motormaster and Metroplex. Sooner or later there will be a sale and we can get them cheaper. If you watch Amazon closely, sooner or later you'll see a price drop. Blitzwing too. Not paying leader class price for him, especially with how awful his alt modes and stupid gauntlet things are. But he'll drop down at some point, and I'll snag him then just to display him in bot mode and won't feel so bad since I'll have paid less.

I had no real interest in Cybertron Metroplex. But the others I did. Next year if I see an offer online for roughly half price I'll go for it. If not,no loss.

That makes sense, no? If you still have an item taking up space in your warehouse a year after release, then clearancing it is the way to go. It sold out instantly, so there wasn't that much available. Is the toy clearancing elsewhere?

I checked it out this morning and most of the deals weren't deals at all. The original prices were marked way up and the sale price was just the MSRP. I did have the Rescue Bots 3 pack of dino Prime, Bumblebee and motorcycle Grimlock in my cart for $15, but it sold out before I could finish checking out.

That's a pretty big claim considering the sizeable variants of Ultra Magnus (Ultra Magnii?), Snapdragon, Jetfire, Sky Lynx, Omega Supreme, and freaking Unicron.
I do think it was one of the highlights though, and an even better follow-up with PotP Evolution Optimus Prime, but also... Unicroooon.
Personally I have an even bigger soft spot for smaller articulated figures, like WFC:K Optimus or Delux-class Blackarachnia and Waspinator.
