Takara Tomy Masterpiece Soundwave and Minions

Now there's a Masterpiece worth laying down some cash for! I'm passing on Sideswipe and Red Alert. Waiting for this one.

Definitely made the right decision when I passed on MP-10! With the money I saved, I can get MP Soundwave and the MP cassettes!

Wow! He seems to keep looking better and better! SW is my favorite and this is definitely the best version of him ever made! Bring on December!

Actually, when one consults the official scale guide from the G1 cartoon, they are exactly as show-accurately sized as they're supposed to be, with Rumble/Frenzy reaching Soundwave's knee panels, the birds being bigger than his shoulders, and Ravage being just a bit bigger than the birds.

Hard to tell, but my best guess would be that this Ravage it about the same size as the Ravage that came with Universe Hound.

Though. if want these to fit with the Classics figures, you'd be better off wishing they were smaller since MP Soundwave is about the size of a Leader and all the guys who were Soundwave's height in the Classics-style toylines are Voyagers. And the near-Voyager-sized MP Sideswipe and Red Alert are mere Deluxes in their Classic-style toys. So, when comapre to the Masterpiece toys, everything is scaled down in Classics.

Though, the Ravage/Hound ordeal fit since Hound was a small guy (not as big as the other Autobot Cars, but bigger than the Mini-Cars).

Strange i've always liked the outcast characters like Buzzsaw and Reflector.

Fingers crossed the next MP will be Reflector or Shockwave (w/Ratbat)

love the tapes, love the fact they can fit in the original g1 toy

I can't wait for this guy's release! He and his kids are going to look nice along with Optimus Prime (MP-10, of course), the Seekers, Grimlock, Sideswipe and Red Alert!

Although for a US release, Hasbro would make him have a yellow visor (common on all of his G1 reissues, by both TT and Hasbro), a lighter blue and possibly omit either Frenzy or Rumble (and possibly swap their names as well), Buzzsaw (even though he was included in the US release of SW) and price them between the TC price and the OP price. Either way, whichever one is much more superior, hold on for Hasbro's release.
