Thanks to Hobby Dengeki, we have brand new pictures showing Star Convoy (retooled from Power of the Primes Leader Class Optimus Prime) in all his coloured glory!

These images confirm that there was tooling done to the inner figure, making him a smaller G1 inspired Prime, with pointier 'ears'.

Thats not all though, two other figures are teased...

This one appears to be none other than Star Convoys nemesis, Super Megatron, with some speculation that it could be a retool of Galvaltron from Titans Returns.

This one is harder to place with some fans claiming it as Snap Trap while others being more skeptical.

What's more interesting to note though that this is being advertised as part of the Generations Select line, that Hasbro announced with Red Swoop and Ricohet (before adding Arctic Camo Megatron to). Could this mean that we could see Star Convoy released outside of Japan as well?

Super Megatron's legs are definitely those of TR Galvatron, while the legs of the visor-eyed guy also look familiar.

I'm trying to see if I can use the sword to figure out who it might be, as the sword itself does look familiar to me as well. At first I wondered if it was just the Nemesis Prime sword, but it isn't. Though it's definitely not Piranacon's sword (and besides, Snap Trap doesn't have visored eyes, he has normal eyes).

Ahh...The silhouettes, and speculation, how I've missed you...Glad to see there are some surprises to look forward to. Star Convoy looks great, though I wont be getting it. Also, if that last one does turn out to be Snaptrap, I will be overjoyed.

share their selects with one another. Also there was that Armada Prime shown at the same time as Star Convoy initially, I'm surprised there was no update on that.

Yeah, the legs are different, but that is the Hun-Gurr mold's arm.

I dunno. I think the calf/shin sections look just like Hun-Gurr's. Definitely different feet. The shoulders look similar too.

But of course I can't be completely sure looking at an all black silhouette. :lol:

That last silhouette certainly looks to be a bland of the Onslaught/Hot Spot CW Voyager figures, similar to how Hun-Gur was a massive retool of Silverbolt. If so, I might be all over that. I don’t really have any connection to either the Seacons or the Terrorcons, but they’re just so uniquely rad.

I think he meant a Hasbro Release of UW-08.... It's a nice thought, but doubtful (Glad I have mine...

). I think a G2 Defensor is more likely, but still doubtful as well.

Additionally I'm sure this is way premature...But if that first silhouette turns out to in fact me Super Megatron, is anyone a little disappointed :TAKARATOMY:

So, Big powered was the last of the 'legends' line and now all the crazy weird stuff will be pushed out under the 'selects' line? Does this mean they'll be shared too? This is the best timeline if so :DANCE:

All we know for now is that, in the Japanese market, Star Convoy is a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive, while no word has been given for any other market.

I think that black silhouette might be another version of Razorclaw. He has the sword, the dual cannons and the visor eyes.

Something else that gets me is that, if this is Snap Trap, then why are they showing a silhouette of just the torso figure instead of the whole combiner when that ought to be the main thing to promote? After all, this isn't a mass retail release being a TakaraTomy Mall thing, so it wouldn't make sense for them to do six individual combiner components instead of one full combiner set.

Unless it were to be just a one-off figure that doesn't combine (a la the Universe Ultra class toys of Silverbolt and Onslaught), but which would leave many a fan feeling very sad.
