It will depend upon the paint job but its not so different from MP10 to warrant a purchase.

The smokestacks are a little large, but that's probably the best-looking head sculpt I've ever seen on any Optimus Prime figure or statue.

It's a great looking statue, but there's a number of choices that seem kind of odd in context. The torso shape, the waist detail and especially the diagonal cuts on the forearms make it look like they took the MP-10 toy and set to work turning it into a statue. Just some bits that make sense to accomplish a fully transformable figure, but that seem strange for a statue that doesn't have the same demands, even if if it has some (e.g.: the shoulders show articulation) posability.

I admire the craftsmanship, it's a beautiful piece. However, I wish other characters would get a little more attention with special projects like this. I understand Optimus is the most popular character, but there are a number of other high profile characters who need some good treatment, especially those who'll probably never see a masterpiece figure. Like Shockwave, maybe Devastator. Also, how about picking a character from a continuity other than G1? If it has to be an Optimus, I would love to see Galaxy Convoy get a statue like that. Or maybe it's time for God Ginrai/Powermaster Prime to get a decent figure. (Yeah, I know he's G1, but still. That character has been neglected for way too long. Xovergen gave it a good shot, but we need some official stuff.)

Remember that characters other than Optimus prime may not warrant good sales, especially for projects like this. Look at xovergen. In a saling point of view, you can't go wrong with prime. People will always buy Optimus no matter how many g1versions of him are made

In before all the whining about it not transforming.
I think this looks damn awesome, the detailing is fantastic, and I particularly like the shoulder joints, and the neck, very EJ Sue ish.
