The Transformers Studio Series is leveling up! Six incredible figures are launching for pre-order tomorrow at 1:00pm ET on HasbroPulse, each bringing unique energy from Transformers’ epic lore to your collection. Here's the lineup:
- Leader Class Optimus Prime (Transformers: Age of Extinction)
- Leader Class Shockwave (Transformers: Dark of the Moon)
- Voyager Class Ironhide (Transformers: War for Cybertron)
- Deluxe Class Wheeljack (Que) (Transformers: Dark of the Moon)
- Deluxe Class Autobot Jazz (Transformers: The Transformers: The Movie, 1986)
- Deluxe Class Optimus Prime (Transformers: Devastation)
This wave combines nostalgia and modern innovation, from the gamer-inspired detailing of Ironhide to the cinematic accuracy of Shockwave and Wheeljack. Each figure boasts incredible articulation, accessories, and iconic transformations.
Don't miss the Transformers Product Showcase video dropping tomorrow on Hasbro Pulse's YouTube channel at 1:00pm ET! Nate and Evan dive deep into what makes these figures must-haves for any collector.
For those wondering, there is nothing new about the rereleased figures aside from the box. They are simply a chance for new collectors/fans to get older releases.

Ironhide is also a must for the WFC roster. 2025 is off to a nice start!

I might pick up Jazz and even Shockwave. He was severely mistreated as a character in the movie, but I love how he looks in robot mode.

I'd rather they reissues Thrust that was a Target Exclusive, granted that's Voyager slot not Deluxe..
But whatever, a total pass on everything they revealed today for me.

They released some videos and AOE Prime looks even better than the pics yesterday! You can fold down the kibble flap behind his head in robot mode. The shield does open, but not quite in the way I thought it did - it opens to reveal the gun barrel, which is super cool!
The listings also say he includes an unmasked head, which we haven’t seen yet.

Nice! I wish more movie Primes had the unmasked head, I think this is the first instance so far in Studio Series. There supposedly was a variant of SS-05 without the mask, but it was only reported once, so it was probably a missasembly like that one Kingdom Megatron with the snarling face.

The listings for him say he includes an additional unmasked head sculpt. I’m a little skeptical since we didn’t see it in the video, but at the very least it would seem they have the sculpt to use on a Nemesis Prime version or something!

So many interesting things here
Kind of want the Last Knight Prime. never got any of the Primes from Last Knight and AOE so this fills that void. Also means a new Last Knight Megs Jet may not be far behind. Not gonna lie, the original voyager is fantastic , but I would like to see what they do with the design. Maybe hide the toes better.
Ironhide calls to me.
Que is a pass.
Shockwave.... always around when I can't get you, we'll need to see how much budget we have left after everything else I want is pre-ordered.
Still not feeling devastation Prime, maybe if he goes on Sale at point.
So glad Jazz gets a PR. I'm definitely picking him up.

Worth noting that the description only explicitly mentions one sword, this may be a case of something that was planned but cut making it to the description like Earthrise Sky Lynx's Micromaster and the alt head was scrapped in favor of the second sword.Sabrblade wrote:Oh neat. The alleged alt head is also conspicuously absent from all the pics in his Pulse listing, including the back of the box.

So it's probably the listing that's wrong. Bummer. The wait for a faceplate-less Prime continues.

Theoretically, this would give them a reason to do a retool of this mold with his arms altered to match the upgrade he gets in the movie, which could be sold as a TLK Optimus since I think he still had that same arm upgrade in that movie.
Posted by EvasionModeBumblebee on January 14th, 2025 @ 5:52pm CST
Sabrblade wrote:It was also pointed out in the video that this AOE Optimus is specifically AOE Optimus pre-forearms-upgrade, as he appears in most of that movie from the time he first scans his new altmode to right before he pulls out the sword and his arms change. But despite that, they still wanted to include the sword as an accessory anyway.

I didn't get to watch the video when it premiered so after seeing this I had to go back and rewatch it - they DO talk about the Pre and Post-Knight forearms! That has me super excited because after the TLK Voyager I just assumed they didn't know the difference. That gives me so much more faith in the team and we are DEFINITELY getting a new version - My money's on Nemesis Prime, gives them an opportunity to use an unmasked head sculpt and swap the Energon blade for either the Quadbarrel Shotgun or wrist blade he uses in TLK.

Bizarrely, it wasn't a livestream event. Yesterday's Instagram announcements said it would go live today at 1pm, and I was waiting and looking around Hasbro Pulse's YouTube channel both right before and right at 1pm, and the video wasn't anywhere to be found until a few minutes after 1pm, where it was uploaded as a normal pre-recording instead.EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:I didn't get to watch the video when it premiered

Man, I want to see those last three 2007 bots once and for all. But with them releasing less and less bayverse and there clearly having been another budget cut, I just don't see it happening anymore. Specially for poor Dispensor, given his "unmarketable" altmode and the cancellation of core class. A commander class Demolishor would be nice too, but I doubt they'll do it when Scavenger is right there to repaint.
I'm surprised by how much I am liking the look of Wheeljack and Optimus Prime, two designs I never had much interest in. Specially Prime, despite his subpar paint.

There's probably a bunch of people who want him, mundane alt modes can be very appealing and unique, plus there aren't many soda dispenser transformers. And the can shooting gag from the movie was pretty funny. There was also that flash game with a protagonist identical to him...

In other news, I received and have been enjoying the RotB Nemesis Prime. I like this mold a lot more in black.

He and Bee movie nemesis stand nicely together on the shelf too

also, I still think they did a good job with Sunstreaker, the only concept series SS I really like so far

So the figure will look bad from most sides? This makes it an easy pass then.

He's talking about if you intentionally transform it wrong to clean up the silhouette from the front by folding down the kibble behind his head.

- He’s scaled to SS AOE Galvatron, so a little shorter than him and just barely taller than SS-32/44 Optimus
- The truck bed actually looks really good! Probably the best truck bed for a Studio Series truck mode, , (though that’s not exactly a high bar to clear)
- the back kibble is removable! Honestly I don’t think I’ll display him like that since I think they handled the kibble really well, but it’s cool that it’s an option!

So, in order to look accurate to the movie needs to partsform, like the Takara leader remold.
If the TLK one didn't had a pin or a screw I don't remember right now, would be the same.
Well, time to wait for the reviews before I truly decide but knowing me, I probably will get it anyway

He is smaller to keep with Studio Series scale, but the engineering, articulation, and accessories are all massive improvements over the TLK Voyager IMO. I think it earned the leader class scale!

And this is why hasbro is able to get away with this.
To charge a leader class price for this is INSANE. There is not a full deluxe figures worth of extra “engineering” in this, a figure that has a “we gave up, so we just made the backpack removable”. And even the paint is terribly disappointing. I mean.. it’s crazy that not only is this acceptable, but that there are people who are justifying and defending it.
This is exactly how hasbro’s ceo is able to rake in $15 MILLION in total compensation for one year. And people will gladly justify it. This is why I can’t bring myself to collect transformers anymore. Stuff like this, to me, is just blatant greed. I can’t justify paying $20 more for something to aid in someone making more money in one year than the average person would in 200+ YEARS. And I know you can say that about most CEO’s. But to me, this is just so blatant it’s indefensible. It screams that they’re just trying to specifically take advantage of the die hard fans.

This figure has been popping up in Asia (specifically Indonesia) so it is already in the process of being distributed worldwide.
