his battlestation/spaceship mode looks ok! but i think they've got the legs too close together! i've got Metroplex so i know you can separate the legs a little.

Wheelie...actually looks pretty good.

Mindwipe looks pretty terrible, I have to say. Those bat legs... I might just try and hunt down the FP version. Or the ROTF version. Either one.

everything is looking just amazing i cant believe how good these look although i prefer the G1 fortess maximus base mode fortress maximus is still freakin awesome!

If there's one thing I don't think I'm fond of about Fort Max, it's Cerebros; I'm not sure if I'm okay with the base and space ship mode being dependent on Cerebros forming the tower. Besides that, everything revealed is glorious, albeit bittersweet. Zmultiplier ruined the feeling of surprise for me.

Well, it's nicely reminiscent of his original purpose, and removes the need to have huge chunks of tower hanging off of his sides.

my problem with Blurr is his weapon placement in vehicle mode! now if it were on top but on his bonnet like his G1 Targetmaster!....i would've been ok with that

Why, that would only serve to make him less aerodynamic, and thus unable to be a 'blurr' when flying

yeah i noticed that, dunno why he couldn't've formed that little structure he normally forms with the G1 figure? + it also does away with being able to place Spike/Emissary in the tower while in Spaceship/battlestation mode! instead he'll probably be sat on that gun emplacement next to the tower.


as for not having towers hanging off the sides of him in robot mode! well it also does away with those big hip cannons that the original had! which i think was part of what made Fort Max.

so much greatness. its like they are trying to recreate the entire g1 line withing titans return and combiner wars.

Honestly, once Titans Return is over, I want more Armada updates. I would literally buy every single one if that happens.

I am cool with new characters, BUT THIS IS F*****G CHROMEDOME, BLURR, SCOURGE, AND FORT MAX MAN!!! Some people man, some people.

Am I alone in thinking that Deadend retooled Chromedone looks amazing?

At first I really couldn't give two craps about these Titan Master guys, but I love that it's forcing Hasbro to make everything have functional cockpit areas.

Fort max will not be exclusive or limited, only the version that comes with the sword.

You are not alone. Chromedome is an amazingly done re-tool, even if this is TECHNICALLY like the seventh version of this mold. Maximus is a must-have, Blurr is awesome, and man I am excited. I have stated my opinions, and I'll just leave everyone else to rant about how "horrible" these are.

I'm just saying that I was never interested in G1 stuff, so this isn't interesting to me

on everyone but fortmax looks cool

on fortmax:

negatives- city/base mode is just wrong. its even more of a sprawled out robot than metroplex. they left out the only parts of the fortmax design that ever actually transformed. so this is basically an action master with a transforming head. also missing the guns at his waist, arms, and hands, his two handheld guns, and gasket and grommet. it feels like a great companion piece to that giant action master scorponok that came out recently who can approximate but not really attain the alt mode. sigh.......

positives- bot mode looks great, aside from missing 75% of his firepower and cerebros looks great aside from missing 100% of his firepower.

potentials- i am still curious what it looks like when you open the lower legs since they are still just metroplex's legs. they have the hinges still....

also wondering what the hinged thing on his right peck hinges to.

electronics could be cool. interested in what his voice sounds like if there is one.

lastly third parties can probably fix most of what is negative here. not sure what they can do with the legs. i REALLY hope something

I don't care about painstaking G1 accuracy, but I do like the look of most of these anyway. However I wish they would have stuck with IDW designs. Figured it wouldn't be the case but it would have been nice. I really want a big shouldered, skinny legged Chromedome!

I don't think the IDW Chromedome would translate well as a toy.

I will also side with hellscream with the whole "time to let G1 rest for a while" I want new things, like sentinel prime or lion trion (yes I know he's a G1 character but he turns into a lion!)

Anyway, these all look good to me, though I would of preferred it if they used the headmasters design for cerebos but c'est la vie.

I agree with this as well I'm sick of G1 taking all the spotlight.


But I still think these are good looking toys however.


The only G1 things I want are updates of characters who don't have any since G1 like Rad or Jackpot among others.

It looks to me that besides the hip area being reversed, the upper torso appears to be reversed. Isn't that hinge on the right peck the same as the hinge on the left shoulder blade of Metroplex?

I actually think it would make a fantastic toy, just might be tough to find a decent mold-mate for him considering his rather unique alt mode.

The only figures I can honestly see myself passing on here are soundwave and blaster. Maybe sentinel, he doesn't really fit into any of the categories for my shelves, I can't really justify picking him up.

- Chromedome: looks great, altmode is perfect
- Hardhead: Best looking deluxe I've seen in a while
- Skullcrucher: Brilliant, in my opinion, better lookimg than any of the 3P options
- Mindwipe: Pretty much perfect, the ankles maybe would need some work, but figuring out how he transforms, it's so fresh and brilliant that I can forgive the gappy-hollowness.
- Blurr: Perfect altmode, much more G1 looking bot mode than the generations one, I'll definitely grab it as I don't yet own a blurr.
- Scourge: Solid rendering of the G1 altmode, feels like he could do with more paint to break up that sea of blue, but thats generally accurate to the character. I can also get him because he's visually distinctive enough from my 2 sweeps to stand out
- Galvatron: a little janky in places, but he's the right scale and looks way more on model than the previous figure.
- Everything legends looks great, with the exception of Stripes, who looks god awful in any mode that isn't a perfect cuboid, nor was he really G1.

- FORT MAX: What can I say? I feel bad for my wife because she's had to listen to me gushing about it all night. A solid improvement over metro. There's just so much more content bolted onto the mold. So much more paint. He really fills out the shoes much better than metro did. He looks seriously majestic. Such a handsome head sculpt too. If I had any criticisms, it'd be that they re-used those same hands that don't really fold away anywhere, and that cerebros looks a tad compromised in terms of posability and proportion to accomodate the electronics. I can imagine him being more expensive than metro; but I feel that's justified for all the extras here.

I just hope that they don't neuter the voicebox for the european release like metroplex.

Some awesome stuff there. My favorites are Mindwipe, Wheelie (surprisingly enough) and of course, Fort Max.

Wheelie is also one of my favourites And I too am surprised. I am impressed they wored in a cockpit that can work with the titan masters.

You have to admire their commitment to cross-selling that play pattern. Even the tape-bots feature connectors to sit the titan masters astride them.

Same here too, though Fort Max's other modes make up for that.
