Transformers Generations Voyager Roadbuster and Sky Byte Available for Pre-order

I am really exited for these figures but why the rise in price ?

Preordered but hoping I can find them at target first for normal price.

Until he gets rid of that goddamn lava lamp cannon (and possibly gets a better alt mode than what is basically his torso with said lava lamp cannon sticking out the front) the answer will be "never".

Still waiting on Demolishor, Cyclonus, and Red Alert (though I'll happily take a redeco of the upcoming BotCon 2014 "Pirates vs. Knights" Cannonball as Red Alert via Club Store/TFSS). Would it be too much to ask for Armada Optimus Prime and Megatron, too?

I have the original TM Cybershark, and honestly, like those colours better than Sky Byte's but will probably pick him up. (and now that I think about it, hopefully he'll be on the Lost Light now, taking up a corner of Swerve's)

Happy to get a Roadbuster. He's decent enough for such a minor character.

Not sure on repaint potential. Skybyte could be okay in the green, or Sharkticon/Seacon colours (both of which are pretty similar so it could be a double homage, lets call him Gnawbreaker) or the Energon Sharkticon colours, but they're maybe a bit too similar to this one. Could also go with Pretender Splashdown, whose shell had a similar shark-head chest going on. Agaim this could be close enough to a Cybershark colour palette that one might work fine for the other, if you so choose. Roadbuster could end up being any of a dozen big burly bots, but I don't see any one particular character.

Yeesh, those prices. With BotCon on the horizon, I'm in no situation to be preordering stuff at those prices.

UH... is it just me, or is Skybyte only a slightly retooled Transmetal 2 Cybershark? I see practically no differences between the old mold and new mold, at all. Does anyone else see that or am I just nuts?

and here i thought the store prices were high, ill just wait until they hit stores and see what they charge. Maybe hasbro will have another 20% off/ free ship code when they put these guys up.
