Thanks to one of the Facebook fans of Seibertron.com, we have a video review (in Mandarin) of the extremely anticipated Transformers Studio Series leader class figure Blackout - of which you can see a full set of images in this previous post here - thanks to YouTube toy reviewer Kevin Liu!

His channel includes some of the other Studio Series figures so far, such as Stinger, Bumblebee, Starscream, and Optimus Prime, and you can check it out here - but as for Blackout, just head below and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub discussion boards!

I want to see some size comparisons how this scales with MPM Prime. Right now not sure if i want it. It looks good don't get me wrong, but the Studio series is a fail IMO. The scale Hasbro claims is correct is far from it.

I could not be anymore excited about this thing! That's what a blackout should look like!

You do realize the scale is to scale with the studio series, not with your “beloved “ Mpm figures. And so far they have kept the scale correct.

Great, now I have to scrounge $100 somewhere so I can pick up Grimlock AND Blackout.

Really liking how the transformation works on Blackout. Only real complaints are he looks a little small compared to the older leaders (so he'll be out of scale with stuff like RotF Leader OP) and they only included the spinning blade as a weapon (pop out guns on the arms like HftD Leader Starscream has would have been great) but overall a huge improvement over the old voyager. He'll look good in my movie Decepticon display.

Exactly. It's like complaining that Generations Leader Jetfire is not in scale with MP-10 Optimus.

So I got Thundercracker who for some reason is a Studio Series figure.

He even comes with a backdrop.

In seriousness though, it just struck me as bizarre. Most of the TF shelf is pretty empty (except for those PotP Starscreams, grrr) But there's a whole bunch of Thundercrackers suddenly out, It's like they gotta get these guys out fast.

Is he officially TRU's last exclusive?

In the US yes.

Did you seriously get one? I am laughing at this, bad as it may be, but I'm hoping you did find one. I really want to find one, and the local TRUs don't have him

Notrab has posted new images on Baidu featuring Transformers Studio Series Voyager Megatron. These shots show us how he looks from all angles and he defintiely appears to be a great rendition of the Revenge of the Fallen model. Far cleaner than the voyager and with the proper arms, the previous leader did not have. Of course, it does come with the visible head in alt mode, which is movie accurate (but not everyone's favourite design choice). We get a really good look at the feet which are made up of several splayed panels. Of course, as we can see, Megatron is not painted silver but the deco still looks similar enough to his look in the film. This toys is scheduled for a summer release and will retail for $29.99 USD in the US and $39.99 CAD in Canada (or more depending on the retailer).

Let us know what you think of this toy and the design.

Ah, as I hoped. His feet were mistransformed in the last few pictures I saw. This looks good! I'll allow it!

That Megatron will also be a Day One purchase from me. I don't care if I have to pay the full 40$. He will definitely replace my ROTF "green burger" in my voyager Movie Megs display.

Still, I'll keep my green burger and I'll either store him or display him with my "leftover" Megs.

Shame about the grey plastic because in every other respect that thing is superb. Like, the best Movie Megatron toy thus far.

That is one good looking Megatron! I’m not bothered with the gray plastic, but what DOES bother me is the sides look hollow... It’s still a great Megatron toy and would gladly be one of my favorite Bayverse Megatrons besides both TLK voyager and leader figures, and the DOTM voyager ;)^

It looks like the moviveverse line is finally on the recovery from AOE's dark times, Megs, Bee and Jazz are definitely in my targeting sights, and the leaders. They look Superb.

Okay, in these new pics, the gray doesn't look so dull and bland, looking rather decent instead.

Yeah I got one. I wasn't even planning to, but then I wondered how limited their release might be and figured I better get one now rather than skip it and regret it. I like the mold, even if he still has that issue with the legs not tabbing properly (plus he's still TR compatible)

I like to keep the wings untransformed on him on robot mode, for a more seekery look and to differentiate him from Nitro.
