This is rather interesting. While the three Legacy Prime Universe figures we had so far were a G1-ified version of the Transformers Prime characters, they weren't a mix of their Prime selves and any other version of themselves (ie. Arcee wasn't a mix of Prime Arcee and G1 Arcee), but Skyquake is a whole different kind of beast. While the toy is still Prime Universe Skyquake, you can see from the images below that both the robot mode and the alt mode are a combo of his Prime self and his G1 self. In bot mode, it's mainly the chest area, but his alt mode is far more reminiscent of the G1 toy than the original Prime jet with only the cockpit area and colour being more "Prime". The rest is all G1, like the rows of vents at the centre and the jet engines integrated into the wings. It is cool to see that this toy bucks the trend of leader class bots being voyager sized with him standing much taller than your standard voyagers.
We all know Hasbro has more than one head planned for each release, so could the alternate head be G1 Skyquake. Remember that the G1 mold has plenty of redeco potential, such as Machine Wars Starscream and King Atlas. And we know this mold will also be used for leader class Prime Universe Dreadwing coming out later in 2023. With the redeco potential for both a more faithful Prime Skyquake and a more faithful G1 Skyquake, would you have preferred two seperate molds? Or are you content with this one mold potentially servicing any of your Skyquake needs? Let us know!

Leader class Skyquake is really cool. I will say, though, that I may have mistransformed or missed some things here. It is clearly pre-tooled for an eventual G1/2 Skyquake and possibly even some other figures. I ran into several odd features, like the tabs on the top-rear of the alt-mode, which seem to have no real function on this figure. The jet cockpit is also able to rotate 180°, seemingly for no purpose, as it does not appear to actually contribute to the conversion. I am very interested to see the future uses of this mold, and feel like it is a great CHUG version of the original Prime character

I hope he gets a G1 colour version. The altmode’s growing on me but the original was one of my childhood toys so he has a lot to live up to, for me at least!

Definite buy for me
Though with all these potential uses of the mold I'm wondering if I should wait before getting this one. I prefer dreadwings colors over skyquakes, and if they make a zombie version of this guy I'd prefer that more as well

I can already tell this is a figure I'm going to want all five (better be five) versions of. I hope there's some wiggle room for replaceable parts, I'd rather G1 Skyquake, Starscream and King Atlas have heads more like their original figures and different shoulder pads. Diehard Prime fans are probably going to hate this interpretation, especially the default head, but I was never a fan of the original Prime head design so I'm fine with this.

Okay wow, this looks really good. I appreciate them amalgamating the G1 and Prime designs juuuuuuust enough to give a really slick looking design without betraying the Prime style too much.

That Skyquake looks to have achieved the perfect fusion and that head don't look out of place on that body contrary to Bulkhead.
I'm sure I'm going to get him, but I also really hope for a Machine Wars Starscream repaint. I'm sure it will happen but as a regular Select, or Velocitron Part II exclusive?

I REALLY like this. Even with the obvious pretooled elements and the boxer, less angled sculpt this still feels like Prime Skyquake like they have learned from their mis-steps with Bulkhead, Arcee, and Knockout. I need this. And Dreadwing.

I'm not digging the head design on this Skyquake, I'm sure I am the minority on this.
But it's great to see a figure wield a blade with both hands as this is a much needed aesthetic for all figures that have a blade/sword....IMHO.

Looks great, at leader price poimt I'll likely only pick up a G1 or machine wars starscream version and pick up the original prime skyquake. Jet modes small compared to voyager starscream but not a deal breaker.

Great G1 Skyquake, but useless as a Prime version. Really makes it clear that they're going to complete mess it up with the Animated figures. Not even half-assed, they're going to non-ass it.

I can't tell if I like this one or not. From some angles it looks good and actually seems like a solid attempt, but others it just feels like we're back to Titans Return where the repaint is released first to get people to buy the mold twice... I might pick him and the Dreadwing repaints up to serve as muscle for Jhiaxus, but I'll need to see more of the mold. Might just wait for the whole selection of repaints and choose from there

Wow... ya learn something new every day. I never knew that mold was Skyquake in the original Transformers. I thought it was a new mold in Machine Wars for Starscream, and then later repainted as Universe Dai Atlas.

Skyquake looks amazing.
Should be even better in Dredwing blue, and Starscream stealth black.
This is definitely a mold to triple dip in.

I suspect the alternate head is just the same only with a mouth guard, and the tabs in the back are for the scope accessory based on the G1 original. In short:
With mouth
Prime Universe Skyquake
Prime Universe Dreadwing
With mouth guard
Machine Wars Universe Starscream
G1 Universe Skyquake... What would they name him to avoid confusion? G1 Universe Predator Skyquake? Maybe even Scrash?

Five? There's more than that but it's going to get a bit weird. Botcon Machine Wars Megaplex used the Skyquake/Dreadwing mold too. Then if you're making Megaplex you might as well make Megatron to go with him. Which is where the weirdness will come in as you'd have both MW Starscream and MW Megatron/Megaplex from the same base mold. Other than them there's also the further different colorations and different robot modes for Beast Hunters Dreadwing and his Adventure recolor. You want five, I want nine. Or at least seven.
Prime Skyquake.
Prime Dreadwing.
Machine Wars Megaplex. Maybe with two heads in the box so you can do Botcon or MW.
Machine Wars Megatron.
G1 Skyquake.
Machine Wars Starscream.
Universe King Atlas.
Beast Hunters Dreadwing.
Adventure Dreadwing.
Admittedly though, the Beast Hunters retool would very much be a HUGE stretch. It's just all that would really need to be done is to change the wings so that they can splay out, change the feet to the bird feet and change the weapons. And...also...change...the...head...wait a minute. The head already kind of looks like the Beast Hunters head. Or rather, it looks more like that than it does the standard head from the voyager or the Cyberverse commander molds.

Going out on a massive limb here, could we possibly see G1 Darkwing and Dreadwind out of this mold? given the cockpit rotates and there's superfluous tabs on the rear, could they be used for the combined jet mode?
Wishful thinking I know.
