I was gonna curse this saying that any recent bot with the G1 Tf sound will play it if smacked right.

But as for the bot mode, they could have tightened it up and made hime more posable with the animatronics,

But still, anamatronics on a TF rocks!

Reguardless of looks, cause cavewomen probably looked like cavemen, Here'S To The Future!

I dunno if I'd transform it, but it's interesting video.

The Deluxe looks much much better then the Ultimate. So it has nice details, big deal, theres nothing on the Deluxe 08 Camaro-Bee that a Gundam modeler cant handle

No worries mate. When I logged on this morning I couldn;t believe how much news was on the front page :P Thought I was seeing things.

Personally I'm liking this figure. Didn't realize how big he is though. Can't wait to get him.

One thing. Is it me or does the guy transforming him in the main video look like he's using a lot of force? Just when he's pulling out the arms and doors, he looks like he's about to snap something. Reckon he's in a rush or the figure just has really tight joints?

After review of the video, it looks complex but falls short, its detailed but not enough for the size it is, and the proportions are off, and the arms having to hang back on a string kinda seems really cheap, they could have engineered it a better way then that.. the chest should have an Automorph feature that pops his head out of the engine hood section, and the back comes down and the grill splits apart and you snap it into place on the torso, so his chest looks like it does in th movie, so he looks like he does in the movie... Who the heck engineered this guy?? 1st Graders?? Not only that his hand should be there and the gun attach with some sort of magnet mechanism that gives the light on the gun power when combined with the hand, that way you don't have a one arm Bumblebee "all" the time..

I took this from an earlier Post:

Ultimate bumblebee looks like Ultimate Crap!!! I here is a comparison image:
Image

On the left you see the way the car grill is supposed to seperate and become more of the chest versus just a huge slab of the car front folded down as the chest.. and not to mention the stumpy gun arm, which is way to short and looks like he had his hand shot off and is awaiting it to return like Mazinger!!

The chest is way too Bulky, the arms are ok, but I dislike the gun arm because its too short and not longer then the other arm by a 1/3 of an inch..Instead its shorter then the other arm by 1/3 of an inch.. i think..

The other thing I noticed was the legs look similar to bot mode, Nice feet, good thigh area with the car kibble matching somewhat, and from the review pics ...sport articulation, but they are way to bulky, from the side view you can see it..

Image

Come on, its 2007!!! they should be able to do better then this!!! if you stretched out Bumblebees legs, then this design would be thinner, and look a little closer to the movie bots legs..

The helmet and face... this is where I have constantly voiced my disdain over the fact that they are selling an Ultimate Bublebee with no face sheild option included.. what a joke!! come on!!! its simple build the face sheild into the top head and hasve it so we can pull it down over the face...duh... or give us a head that we can substitute.. but geez..

And one more thing......Bumblbee has BLUE eyes!!! not red.... comeon Hasbro.. do you really expect me to buy it cause it makes noise, and moves a little bit, and has a few phrases from the movie, in which bumblebee is mute??

I'll Pass on that piece of trash in plastic form... :-x

ion fact I can't stand 1970s Deluxe Bumblebee, his articulation is crap, and I went online and saw they are selling deluxe toys now under "revision 2" which there are minute details about 1970s bumblebee that have been done.. the first run has a black face, the next has silver... and the chest is a little better, but not much.. so if you get the first run deluxe BB its before a revision was made.. be aware!! In my view they need to Revise BB like 20 times till they get him right!

Bottom line on the Ultimate BB, not worth the money and the effort..IMHO!

I just have to ask after reading all this(thank you), what's your take on the price of Cybertron Supreme StarScream?

I know it's a figure past, but to me that guy sucked more than Energon Omega

its cool and all but not worth the 90$ price tag .. It reminds me of those starwars banks they had out a while back.. the ones you would hook 3 togethere and they would fight and stuff.. that collected dust in just about every store they were in.. Ill get one but ill wait for the price to drop and i also agree that the figure don't look like he is transformed correctly, he looks squished like they didnt extend his mid section or something ...

Overall I like him. However I will be waiting until they are on sale. However I think his chest is a little too blocky. I would of liked the option to put his face in battle mode too.

Honestly, what did the posters expect ultimate bumblebee to be? Gigantic transformers are quite often simplistic toys built around an electronics box, and these transformers usually fall short because electronic gimmicks are by nature gimmicks. And for such a gimmicky toy, he's far ahead of his peers.

Take Beast Machines Supreme Cheetor. He's huge, ugly (*far* uglier than Bumblebee, believe me), and built around a smattering of small, unimpressive clawing and firing gimmicks. His biggest sell is, I kid you not, making a hissing noise while the hair on his back stands up.

Supreme Starscream is worse: nearly the same transformation as a Legends class toy, with a few blinky lights thrown in. Even Optimal Optimus has two modes that, quite frankly, suck. It's just really, really hard to make a gigantic transformer that transforms *and* does extra "flashy stuff" that customers expeect from that price range.

Ultimate Bumblebee has *far* better gimmicks and a better balance of transformation, articulation and electronics than any of the toys I named. Problem is, at $90, even that's not enough. I've seen $30 Star Wars animatronic R2-D2/c3p0 banks with more interesting action features and $20 transformers with better transformation and details. Who will actually *buy* this guy?

90 bucks for this... I thought it was self-transforming toy. Guess not.

The transformation for this sucker looks painful with all those panels.

Wow. I knew it'd be a shelf warmer after I first heard about the price but I didn't know it was going to suck quite this terribly. For 90 bucks and with all the hype I figured we might get something like a simplified Robosapien, or, at the very least something as interactive as a Furby. Instead we get something with LEDs and pre-recorded sounds whose shoulder and 'wing' joints wiggle slightly when a song is played. And the voice... WTF? Did they just grab anyone at the office to do it? I wonder how much of the $90 price tag is actually going towards licensing the song 'Whip It'.

I would have, and have, passed on him, the price was too much for a Bot that although had great likeness to the TV series, his articvulation and ultra simplistic transformation made him just an over sized "cheap-quality" expensive ass voyager toy...that said, on clearance for $25.00 I wouldn"t passed him up..

hahahahahahahahah he couldnt get it to work hahahahahahahahahahaha.
that was funny. Its not worth $90. I thought hey said "this is the ultimate Transformer to be made" ive seen way better. If it were around $30-$50 then maybe but $90? Should've let tarkara make it first. Oh well ill get it when it goes on clearance and not put batteries in. And why was he talking? He's mute in the film. And that voice actor (and i use that term losely) sucked ass. Not a must have. The only reason to get it is because it'll go up in price as the yeas go on. It'll be one of those rare TF figures in about 15-20 years.

OMG, that transformation video gave me a headache...and there's no reason this big-azz Bee is missing his battle-visor. Yeah, I think he's the "giant Cheetor" of the movie toy line.

Gee...I dunno...guys like...G1 Trypticon come to mind.

I think that large TFs have gone down hill since G1. The gestalts have gotten worse (energon gestalts with two clones of the same toy for parts just takes the fun out of the group), leader Cheetor in the era of BM vs. Fort Max in G1... amazing how downhill you can go...

I mean... heck...compare even G1 Jetfire, who, in his time was certainly one of the "bigger" toys to...oh...Cybertron Leader Starscream...

There has been a huge improvement in the basics and deluxes, and the ultras and megas are great too...

But the really big TFs of the post-G1 world just don't seem to hold a candle to G1...

And that's really wierd, come to think of it.

I call for Masterpiece Bumblebee!

Get the guy that designed MP Optimus and the other guy that designed MP Starscream, stick them in a room for six months with hot pockets and Arizona Green Tea and don't let them come out until they make something worth buying.

So if anybody knows Japanese... what are most of them saying about the upcomming new movie?

If his face wasn't so butt ugly with it looking like he's sucking on a baby's sucker in his mouth, I might have considered this only because I love Camaros and yellow is one of my favorite collors. It lookes good in the alt mode and at the size it makes for a good handful stirdy Camaro model. Takes a while to transform... which can be a good thing and a bad thing depending you the kind of day you're having.

But that face is just to ugly and destroys any interest I would have had in the figure. I mean I couldn't ever display it robot mode with that ugly mug, so then what's the point of having it if you're reduced to one mode? It's supposed to be a Transformer, right? ;)

No, you're right. I understand why they did it (so they don't break off, and the figure retains all of it's parts in one piece), but really, they could've done better and I see no reason why they *HAD* to put his doors on strings. That's just damned stupid.

I doubt a lot of Wal-Marts will clearance this guy below $50.00 (none of the ones near me will, that's a guarantee.)

TRU...not a chance in Hell of a clearance.

Actually it'd be Dragon and Pheonix Rolls (Sushi) and Green tea..

But yeah, i would totally buy a Masterpiece BB especially if they included Battlemode head, better articulation, a correct chest, and proportions to the movie, and better arms and realistic paint apps for the under parts!!! that is what I expect from a toy that costs 90.00, and is made to look like it came from the movie!! a motion sensor that causes movie so0unds to pop up doesn't really scream interactive to me..

to be very poseable, have great articulation, a ball jointed head, you can run a wire through the middle of a ball joint to the head for light up, there should have been a switch that brings the face sheild down from the helmet, and a battle sound attached to that, the arm like I said should have a magnet or plug in so that his arm canon could light up when attached to his arm, with a sensor built in for sounds of missle fire to coincide with its attachment.

Forget the raising arm functions or the back moving or wiggling.. give the automorph function a little help, and put the movable parts to better use like a 30% transformation from car to bot mode, with an off switch if we wanted to do it ourselves or if the batteries died, then we finish the rest.. now that would be cool..

But no we get the crappy transformer version of a Star Wars Bank..but the cost is like 2 times more expensive, and no where is there a place to store any money....Its like bad debt all over that thing..I will boycott it all the way..

I think he looks OK. The moving wings (and most of the other electronic gimmicks) are just lame, and the doors on string, well it's unique. I also think the guy managed to mistransform the front, that didnt look right.

I actully dont mind the face, the face looks good.

The thing was falapping about as he moved it, surely hasbro managed to devise a way to stop that. I still think it looks mistransformed. Look at how he transformed the legs, he obviously wasnt 100% sure how it transformed.

You know, I think I like it. I'm hesitant about the price tag, so it'll probably be somehing I don't pick up right away, but the transformation looks to be satisfying, and I know I'm gonna get mocked for saying this, but the animatronics actually amuse me.

It looks like his gun arm got caught on his chest in that one video, though... Not sure if that's user error or a design flaw.

Either way, it's big, it's detailed, it looks to have nice articulation, and it sings and dances. I'm calling this good enough, but I'm hoping for it to go on sale at some point.

Yeah, $90 is a little scary at first glance. I really like the figure. I'm sure I'll get it at some point... oh, who am I kinding? I'll probably break down and buy it shortly after it comes out. I'm bad at doing stuff like that.... ;;)

It doesn't help that it looks like the person transforming it is retarded and is going to break the figure with every hard pull of the plastic parts.

I was expecting more from this figure. No wonder Hasbro hasn't shown us a transformation video with his snap off, snap in, things literally held on to the figure with string, oops his arm keeps falling out while I am trying to make him do his sounds. I was seriously considering this figure but now I'll wait until he goes clearance and I still may not get him. I don't have a ton of space to display all my figures and this one may not even be worth it after that video.

I'm also trying to figure out why he says several phrases. I thought he became mute in a fight with Megatron on Cybertron before volunteering to track down the allspark, all prior to him coming to Earth. I wonder if the packaging for this figure will feature the phrase:

"Ultimate Bumblebee - The mute that won't shut up."

I was expecting more from this figure. The bio for the Hardtop says that it hurt to talk, not that he couldn't. While ratchet was rebuilding BB's Muscle Car as a 2007,(That's what this is) He msy have decided while he was at it, we'd fix his vocalizer.

If he sounds like and says the things the figure I wish Ratchet hadn't fixed his vocalizer then.

I'm just going by what the prequel comic showed when the allspark escaped momentarily before Megatron could get a hold of it and he crused Bumblebee's voicebox. I have no idea why that couldn't have been fixed on Cybertron but Ratchet can easily fix it on Earth.

I have a feeling between the movie, game, toys, and comics there is going to be some serious issues in continuity, especially if the movie made any last minute changes.

Wasnt he supose to have a motion scence thing? If something walked by he'd shoot the missile. Does he even shoot the missile himself or is there a little button you have to press?

Had a closer look...the chest *is* supposed to look like the movie version. It's the same problem every single person has..(and I'm not sure why) but the chest in these videos/pictures is mistransformed. Badly.

I'm not sure why people don't take the time and have the patience to follow through. Idiots.
