There's no release date listed for either one, but they likely should be available sometime this summer. You can click on either set of pictures to be taken to the product page, and you can also sign up for in-stock alerts.
Rodimus Prime wrote:But remember, Optimus's trailer was pretty much a simple box that folded open. Rodimus's trailer would have to have more smaller and differently molded parts to attach to the actual figure in vehicle mode. If they did it right, it would be a modern update of the original G1 toy, where Rodimus himself doesn't turn into a vehicle, just the front half of one. If Hasbro commits to a Rodimus figure, let it be a Rodimus figure, not a Hot Rod/Rodimus figure.Flashwave wrote:Sentinel_Primal wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Based on the assumption that the price point of a figure depends on the amount of materials used and not the size of the figure itself, if Rodimus is sold as a leader and is the same size as Optimus, as he should be, does that leave enough material for his battle platform that includes the dual barreled cannon and is able to fold up to actually attach to Rodimus in vehicle mode from the flimsy excuse for a trailer that "leader" Optimus got?ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Armor or battle station. I would personally hope for him to be taller than WFC Optimus since WFC Optimus comes up a bit short scale-wise. It shouldn't be hard, since the most complex thing Roddy would need is struts to make the spoiler not partsform.
Depending how many hollow bits, I'd say so. Rodimus's platform is technically smaller than Prime's trailer, especially as it would hook up to the main figure, leaving a hollow area for the connection point for vehicle mode, it might be close, but it's possible
I would assume the Dual Barrel Gun would not use any more parts than the Drone in Prime's trailer. From there, Roddy's Trailer would be a 1x1 parts copy of Prime's. 2xSide Wall and Roof, 1xFloor, 1xDoor with shield thingy, 4x wheels, 2×axle bogey parts.
Not gonna happen. Not if they're sticking with the G1-accuracy they've had until now. And the 2 peg option wouldn't work either, because the trailer itself has to be redesigned. Rodimus can't have a box trailer because it wouldn't be G1-accurate. I know Magnus and Galaxy Prime aren't technically G1-accuratein vehicle mode either, but at least their vehicle modes are based on existing design. I don't know of any toy line or continuity where Rodimus has a box trailer. (I'm not saying there isn't one, I'm saying I haven't seen it.)Flashwave wrote:just make it a Cybertronic Truck and give him a 5th wheel and be done with it.

I wonder if it will be a Select exclusive, or a regular non-exclusive release?
