Here is an excerpt from Ebay seller 1momentum's listing.
For all you Transformer fans, now is your chance to own a unique piece of movie memorabilia that you can actually drive (after you install an engine) and have fun with off-road and do not have to worry about running into another one! This vehicle draws so much attention you could just park it outside your business and watch it stop traffic! Since there was only 3 made for the movie it makes it extremely rare plus the fact that this is the Hero one that the actors drove in the final fight scene in the movie!
This is a sandrail referred to as "Landmine" will turn heads! It started life as a 4 seat sandrail before being customized for the blockbuster movie “Transformers”!! so it is built well! Again, this is a full size Sandrail that was originally a 4 seater, you coule remove the Faux nitrogen tanks and fit 4 people again if you so desire.
If you are an offroad fan….this is a definite chance to stand out in the crowd. If you haven’t seen the movie, 3 Sector 7 assault vehicle were used throught out the movie to transport the agents to fight the deceptions. Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson are the main characters that drive this number 52 assualt vehicle!

if it had a motor in it id buy it, but since there obvisouly no tranny in it its pointless piece of junk

I wouldn't call it "junk" but the lack of the motor does take a lot from the value, for sure. Still a really cool piece.

Hmmm... Ok, give it an engine. Then, um, maybe put it in for a tune-up. And possibly give it a paint ball gun at the top... Then make it transform and I will want!

Think of it this way...it's a lot of money but for a rare Transformers piece it's a heckuva lot bigger than anything else you are likely to snag.

This has a transmission, it's just missing an engine (it takes a Volkswagon, not sure what size). I'm guessing it's missing b/c this it the one in the picture that's flipped on it's roof, they probably removed it to make it lighter and easier to move. As for you guys whining about how it's beat up, just consider it Battle Damage and come on, it's FROM THE FRICKEN MOVIE, it dosn't get any cooler than that! As far as driving it on the street, just add headlights, proper tail lights and some small fenders over the wheels and you're good to go. In some states you might not even need the fenders, depending on the law. If you're not one for turning wrenches to get this one in working order (in which case you're probably too sissy to drive this sort of thing in the first place), they have the other two complete with engines for $18,000 each. Damn I wish I could afford one of these.
