Seibertron.com- Community member Diem has his recently released Alternity Convoy (Optimus Prime). He shares his thoughts and reviews the overall figure. Diem is also answering questions, and includes some images of the silver version of this evolved Binaltech line. If you are not sure whether to purchase this collector's item, this review may be able to offer you some details that will help you to decide.

Check out Diem's review of Alternity Convoy and his answers to questions here.

"Alternity Convoy, I am very impressed. His presentation is nice, having a box that's entirely plastic (in the classiest possible way). The inner bubble that holds the toy can pop together to keep the toy on display if you so wish. "Alternity TRANSFORMERS" is tampographed onto the bubble. The instruction sheet has a poster/datafile on the back, which features his bio, tech-specs, and and some information about (I believe) the Alternity fiction, the real life toy development and the Nissan GT-R, although these are all in Japanese. It also has Action Master inspired "Power Plans" in English, with such charming technobabble as "Timestorm Detector Array" and "Alternium Hyper-frame". Very nostalgic."

Peace be upon all,
Thanks for the review and pics. I'm glad I pre-ordered this figure as well (in Super Black) but now I would like the have the red version to contrast more with Megs.

Question: Are all the outer, car panels plastic?
Could you post a pic that shows this figure side-by-side a deluxe class car?

Here is what I think the "Super Black" version might look like...

They seem to be plastic, yes.

I got mine today and think he is the best figure I got this year. That includes Universe Cyclonus. If this is how the movie bots looked both in toy form and on the screen TF1 would still be in theaters. I doubt Hasbro will bring this line over due to the fact that it's hard to market licensed product.

I was suprised at how much of the figure is plastic versus metal...Not disappointed really, just surprised...

So was I because he was so heavy in relation to his size.

Well Transformed Convoy back to car mode and everything peg, folded and shifted smoothly back into place. This car has become one of my new favorite collectible figures. Real solid all around.
