The official BotCon facebook page has posted some additional images of their BotCon 2014 exclusive Sorponok figure. These images give us a better look at the Olin Zarak the figure's Headmaster unit, which has been remolded from the recent Encore Fortress Maximus Spike Headmaster. It doesn't seem as there's a neck joint. That was the One thing I was hoping from this, at least some kind of swivel at the neck with the headmaster addition.

I like the pink visor. The overall face sculpt is pretty good.

I'd sure like to own this guy, but like Fortress Maximus before him, I have to file it under Too Damn Expensive/I'm not good enough to make it to the Con figures.

I'm sure a third party will do a Zarak head that rotates.

...Or several companies just straight up doing their own Scorponoks. ;)

They used the Formax/Cerebros mold not the Zarak? Still, looks awesome.

Yes, because that mold and only that mold was made available again via Takara's Encore release of Fort Max.

Could't they have access to the old head mold? Or fabricate one using an old G1 Scorponok?

I thought the club said the neck does swivel, and it looks like piece is in two parts.

I read somewhere that Pete Sinclair confirmed that the neck sadly does not rotate.

Scorpie looks great! I never had the energon version of him, so it'll be nice to see what he's like next to a g1 scorp.

The Deluxes in question will probably be general retail figures like Wave 1 or Wave 2 AOE Generations toys.

I'd like to see pics of that head on the original Scorponok.

Sadly, Botcon's too rich for my blood this year. To ease the pain, I had to break down and Ebay a Double Punch. He fills the gap...a little.

BotCon 2014 sounds like an exciting, energetic, heart-pounding, thrill seeking event that'll blow all of our minds. (Hopefully, not literally.)
