I wonder if the SUV with the bug claws could be Shrapnel ??? I hope not cause that would be stupid seeing as they have already used a scorpion in the movie.

the SUV looks terrible. Im hoping it doesnt have those claw things in the movie. It's just lame. And here is what the nascar bot looks like

Anyone like me who has grown to absolutely hate Bumblebee? I really wish they would focus in on another character. Hell I would have been ecstatic if they killed him in the first movie and let Jazz survive. It would have been great if they did a Jazz / Ravage combo and proceeded with that.

Doubt it. Don't believe Hasbro has the TM to Shrapnel anymore as when the TRU reissues came out he had a different name I think...in addition, if you actually look at the auctions for the SUVs (both oh them, not just one) the name "Crankcase" is mentioned in both of them. That's my wager for one of the SUVs.

The problem with that is that Bumblebee SELLS. Kids love him.
And it's the kids who keep the brand afloat right now. All those repaints and remolds of movie Bumblebee mean that we get awesomeness like Tracks and Perceptor and Drift.
While you may be tired of the seemingly endless army of 'Bees you should be thankful that Transformers sells so well that Hasbro can afford to put them out! If they didn't sell by the truck load then HasTakTomy wouldn't be putting them out!

I thought the Wrecker might be Crankcase before you pointed that out, maybe Hasbro have named the Dread toy to prevent him becoming generic (like when they characterised the Movie game drones). Even if the other Wreckers don't get G1 homages, we've got Roadbuster - I'm permanently happy. The blue dude is looking cool so far, the mullet looks surprisingly cool on him. Better hairstyle than the crappy dreadlocks on the Dreads.

It is most likely the Truck. In the G1 Marvel comics, "Crankcase" was a "triggercon" i beleive, and his alt mode was a Jeep. There were 3 "Triggercons", Crankcase, Ruckus, and Windsweeper, and 2 of them were a truck of some sought.

To heck with the figures...show me some renderings of the bots. (Stares really hard at ILM)
Any bets on the first official (non-announcement) trailer will premiere during the Super Bowl? Since it's the first Sunday of February, it gives Bay plenty of time to put it together...
