This is how it is for both my Hasbro Blast Off I just received, and the Takara Unite Warriors Blast Off. Looks like the execution of that flap that the peg should slide into didn't happen they way it was engineered to...

In some ways, yes. It's the same mold, though Hasbro kept the shuttle nose on the back instead of how Takara had it on the chest. I like the color pallet better too...

The Hasbro version definitely has a way better color palette, not that a brown space shuttle has ever existed. and you can always transform it the other way and just have the chest be the way it originally was on the Unite Warriors figure.
