Black Friday Deals: RtS Scouts at Five Below for $5.00

guess where im goin...........

No Five Below in the bay area but if someone can pick up an extra Windcharger and sell me one at a decent price (not ebay rape dollars), I would be greatly appreciative!!

I'm working midnight to 8am Thanksgiving Thursday!

If anyone from the Rockford area is gonna attempt hitting up the Five Below by the TRU -First Aid I'm looking at you lol- Could you pick up an extra Windcharger if they have it, IF you're gonna go?

I'm going to guess that showing Windcharger in the ad simply means that he'll be on sale IF they happen to have any in stock. All such offers are while supplies last, therefore no store is at fault if supply runs out before the sale even starts, or if they just never happened to get that particular case in.

I have check my local five below a few times, and they do not have any of the black friday sales items on the floor. And if they do, they have a pallets worth. I doubt we will see much there, but I really hope to snag some Windchargers and Rumbles to send out to my Seibertronian brothers and sisters.

Well holy shit. It's about time these things start showing up.

Maybe that means Wal-mart really does have all those rare PCC 2-packs and 5-packs. One can hope...

Come on guys, I can dream can't I??? I have a Windcharger that I didn't pay an arm and a leg for, but I know a lot of guys who don't so I will be on the look out. And I wouldn't mind a extra one for on my desk, he is a an awesome mold.

Kinda funny that Windcharger is showing up at stores that are nowhere near where I live. I guess that just means I don't have to kick myself for overpaying for him then.

Man, I really should take a trip down to the US for Black Friday. Some really great deals going on. I'd love to be able to get a Windcharger for $5 as opposed to the stupid scalper prices of $25-50.

As you already know one of the upcoming Black Friday specials will be $10.00 Power Core Combiner five-pack plus a two-pack combo for $10.00 at Wal-Mart, now we are happy to report these combos will feature some of those hard to come by later wave figures. Apparently some Wal-Marts have jumped the gun and already started stocking the sets. TFW2005's Magnus1701 found and purchased the combos seen below, which include Salvage, Undertow, and Skyhammer. The Allspark's ShinRa also reports finding a combo with Heavytread. Great news for those who never were able to track down the later wave Commander two-packs.

I don't think I've ever actually bought anything on Black Friday. One year I checked it out super early...and it was ridiculous, so I left. Last year I went the night before...and the line at Toys R Us, where the police were directing to keep the flow of people down to two at once, went all the way around the block, so I left. Saving a few dollars on anything is just not worth the hours-long waiting time to get into stores and check out. Unless there's something I'd save literally hundreds or thousands of dollars on by buying that day, it's just a huge waste of time.

That said, I will be hitting Five Below and Wal-mart tomorrow to see if they have stocked these things. If not, I'll just check the day after. Five Below is not exactly shopper central for Black Friday, and the PCCs aren't that important to me. The new molds are kinda neat, but the whole PCC concept is pretty lame. Who wants non-transforming "drones"? And giant blue squares on every limb?

I already plan on going to Target to get something for the boys, but I will stop into my Walmart to see if they have any of these sets left. It's a great deal.

Found 6 WindCharger at Five and Below in Boardman Ohio today for $5.00 each, Bought them out for my collection a to give to a few friends here too.

now they have my attention. All I need is Heavytread and Over-run, and it looks like it's autobot bundled with decepticon.

Stopped into 5 below, and they had all of the scouts, sans Windcharger, someone had already swooped in and scored them all. I was just there on Tuesday night, so they were not there for long. There was about 5 Chopsaws, which were 2 to a case just like Windcharger, so they only had 6 from the beginning.

Damn. The Exton scapler strikes again. At least he/she didn't steal these, or buy and return with something else in it's place. I only wanted to snag one or two.

For all those interested in the Walmart deal:

In my store, there won't be a line for the Transformers (or so they think) mainly because they don't see it as a hot item, so I believe they will just put out they toys in the toy section instead of lined off in their own stack, and apparently my Walmart has about 100 of these packs.... Also an employee told me about a Black Friday floor map. Hope this info helps, I'll try to find out more.

Pretty lame so far though, I'm assuming there will be more widespread discounts as the weekend approaches.

Sneaky buggers raised the price on the ONE item I wanted though, 2010 Primus, now $129.99 instead of $109.99. I only hope this is in anticipation of further price reduction, otherwise I may need to take my purchase elsewhere...

I think BBTS will soon be giving away those Piranacon sets.

So on the way home from my parents' house last night I stopped by Wal-Mart and such to see what was going on. The parking lot was crowded, lines were forming nearby at Target, Best Buy's line was so long that people were playing football in the parking lot to pass the time. I toured Wal-Mart to see if they had PCC Undertow, and indeed they did. I left without bothering because the lines were so long.

This morning I happened to wake up early, as I went to sleep early last night. I figured what the hay, I might as well swing by Five Below in Laurel, MD to see if they have Windcharger.

Indeed they did--about 6 or 7 of them. They weren't in the normal toy aisle, though, but rather by the counter--had I not asked an employee where to find Transformers I wouldn't have seen them. I also bought Chopsaw for kicks.

Wal-Mart in Laurel was also not very crowded, and most of the registers, unlike usual, were staffed. I found PCC Grimstone packaged with Undertow and bought that. The combinations vary so you could find any 5-pack with any 2-pack, and you'll need to sort through them to find what you want.

I then hit Target in Columbia and found Voyager Cannon Force Ironhide, Megatron, and Sentinel Prime for $10 each, so I bought those. Don't think I'll be keeping Sentinel but I figured I could trade for something later.

I also hit Wal-Mart in Columbia, and found nothing of interest there, except a leftover ROTF Long Haul, which I bought. It was clearance-priced on the tag, but not in the system, so I had to wait a few minutes for the clerk to get approval from a manager to give me the clearance price.

I stopped at Toys R Us and saw they had DOTM Ultimate Optimus for $47.99--best price I've seen anywhere so far--but I passed on that since I really don't dig it.

And somewhere in there I hit Ross and bought RTS Wreck-Gar and Tracks and HFTD Leader Starscream.

All in all, not a bad haul.

And I was pleasantly surprised to find traffic was light and parking was easy. You'd never know there were lines the night before. So that says to me that as retailers have responded to the Black Friday rush by opening earlier and earlier and now Thanksgiving night, the best time to go is really early Friday morning, so you don't have to deal with the madhouse. Yes, you might miss some deals, but I've noticed that most of the really marked down stuff is crap no one wanted before anyway. So it's just a way for the retailers to make people think they're getting a good deal and get rid of all the stuff they couldn't sell before.

Out of 4 Walmarts, with about 100 of each of the 10$ deal PCC packs, I found one heavy tread.
So I don't think he's become less hard to find.

Good point. I completely forget Heavy Tread existed--never seen him once anywhere, and today I didn't see him at either Wal-Mart I visited.

Yeah, HeavyTread didn't show up at ours either. I managed to pick up a Steamhammer/Icepick 2-pack, and gave Icepick away in the toys-for-tots Bin.

One of the best win-wins of my day.

I got a Grimstone and Icepick 2-pack, and a steamhammer sledge 2-pack, and an over-run and salvage(meh) 2-pack.

I picked up a Grimstone with Icepick today, myself. Oh, and a little off topic- anyone looking for the DOTM Darksteel and Air Raid should check their local Kohl's. Finally got me an Air Raid.........

Grabbed Grimstone with Leadfoot at Walmart. That toy was totally waiting for me. Lol. Had the "not for sale" sticker on it, likely because it was meant to advertise the promo during the crazy hours, but because it was 8:30pm they let me buy it. Score! xD

I don't really own it yet though <.< Handed it off to my folks to give me for x-mas after I got home. Figured $10 would be two gifts for me. Saves them some money and saves my mum some hassle. She never really knows what to get any of us young-ins anymore now that we're all grown up (it's much easier when you're a little kid... in fact I found it much more difficult deciding what *not* to buy my 2 year old niece. Lol). And I finally found out why she refuses to buy me Transformers, so aptly said by my dad - "I don't know what Former-Trans to buy you, you have them all." Lol. If only I did own them all xD

I know, I actually really enjoy the PCCs, so have fun! But just now, I picked up the DOTM Voyager Megatron from Target, going to have fun with this figure.

The local walmarts here had all the sale merchandise including the pcc's in the middle aisles shrink wrapped until 10. They may or may not have been near the toys.

No, not in mine anyway. I have a super walmart, so I found my PCC's on the "toy" end (the other end being food) just as you enter the door. They were where the holiday stuff (like Halloween costumes, Easter items, etc) are usually placed.

I'm sure every Walmart had it's own set up, but none of the Black Friday toy deals in mine (that I noticed) were in the toy section. Near it, but not in it.

My Walmart still has a bunch left, I'm willing to get some Grimstones or Steamhammer for those who want one.

Have you seen what figures they come with?

Steahammer had just Sledge, I say Grimstones with Icepick, Undertow, Sledge, and Skyhammer. There was one Stakeout and protectobots with salvage.

Undertow is a big surprise here, so is Skyhammer. I just need those and Grimstone, the rest of that list I already have.

Well, that would depend on if I can send my father-in-law to hunt for me, what he can find (really, I wish I could have stayed longer, dammit! ) and if you're willing to ship to Europe

I got to Toys R Us around 2am and supposedly they had sold out of all ROTF figures. Considering every employee on the floor hadn't even seen them I doubt they had gotten any ni at all.

Walmart had all of the hard to find PCC figures. I have an Undertow and Stakeout, both in the package if anybody wants them.
