I dont know, I like the Hasbro version. I preffer the silver highlights instead of the gold.

Hellscream9999 wrote:Man, I've gotta say, the use of three plastics on hasbro's quillfire really save's him, and, I'd go so far as to say that it makes up for the lack of paint apps. That third color to break up his color layout really makes the character pop, without the need for a ton of paint apps; too bad they're no doing that on the rest of their warrior figures, as they could really use it (thunderhoof)
That's an astute observation there! 100% agree!
Although, Hasbro actually uses 4 plastic colours, one more than Takara.

As for the Quillfires, they both look nice although Hasbro's has Quillfire's insignia missing.

You're right, I hadn't noticed, maybe that's why I like hasbro's enough; but hasbro's thunderhoof is really hurting for some paint apps, shame, he was so cool too, oh well

I think each has their own strong points. I prefer more plastic colors than paint and overall I like the Hasbro version better because of the grey used ont he legs, arms and hands. So basically its a win win no matter which you get.Hellscream9999 wrote:william-james88 wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:Man, I've gotta say, the use of three plastics on hasbro's quillfire really save's him, and, I'd go so far as to say that it makes up for the lack of paint apps. I agree the deco looks good it's just looks poorly executed. The plastic is all waxy and dull. It could use a paint app or two to make it pop. As it looks to me it's really cheap and KO looking.

I haven't taken pictures in ages.

Maybe one day I'll take a few, but I just haven't been feeling the urge to take any lately.

Yup, he was revealed at NY Toy Fair this year, the pics here are gone, but he's already been shown in the show; feast your eyes upon him (though he looks alot more like botcon sandsting or double punch or whomever...)

No way that thing can stand up unaided. It looks too top heavy with legs like toothpicks.

Depends, the line has been making use of faux-ratchets, if so, the poses will stick, the problem point would be the ankles

Not only that, but it looks pretty light, the claws in bot mode are completely hollow, I guess he can use them like boxing gloves

ScottyP wrote:Curious that those large Bee and Sideswipe figures with the Mini-cons are under the TAV banner. Guess maybe the TED stuff isn't going to continue?
I believe it's the Mini-Con gimmick that qualifies them for the TAV line, and not TED. Remember, all 4 Deployers (Drift, Fracture, Overload and Crazybolt) are under the TAV line as well, despite being "simple".

Not as severely as you may think: only the claws are separate pieces. Think of them as boxing gloves.
