Thanks to fellow Seibertronian AzT, here's a friendly reminder from your friends here at Seibertron:

Early last month we reported that Devastator's preorder page went live and we're here to notify you that he is now in stock and available to ship from Target.com!

Transformers News: Devastator Now Available At Target.com

They seem to have missed the release date by a few days, since it's now August 5th and he was due on the 1st, but better late than never with an awesome combiner like this one! Sadly he's still showing as being unavailable in stores and seems to be an online only option from them at this point. There are some plusses, though! They offer free shipping, free returns if you have any problems and free store pickup in 4-7 days, on top of that, if you have an issue you can return it to your local Target store. (All the perks and pricing of Amazon, but without having to ship things back, not to mention 5% off if you use your Target Red Card!)

So far, Toys R Us is the only brick and mortar retail store to actually carry him on shelves as well as online, so if you're looking for instant gratification, you'll need to make a road trip to your closest TRU, but if you want to save some big bucks, time and have the patience, order from Target today!

If you have a news submission and want to see your name on our front page, send us an email using the news form and remember... Keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in news and updates, plus the best galleries around!

Really hoping he pops up at Costco for the holidays for cheap, like Metroplex.

Not sure if anyone has posted, but here's Hasbro Combiner Wars Devastator next to Toyworld's dinobot combiner, next to Hasbro Combiner Wars Superion.

You should clarify that it's the American Target stores that will stock Devastator, most people will assume that Australia will be getting him. And $149.99 American works out to be more in Australia.

My thoughts exactly, though, I'm actually saving up for the Takara version, and I don't wanna have 2 Devastators! :BANG_HEAD: Maybe if I get Hasbro Devy for cheap, I'll sell him later, and get the Takara version, I don't know though! Too much complication! [-(

UW Devy is the one I want, and no Costco deal is gonna sway me towards the Hasbro version! (says the one with A.D.D and is probably gonna change his mind in a couple hours...)

Buying from Target sounds like a good idea. I'd rather get it from them than give TRU money after overcharging

Wow that dinocombiner has hideous leg kibble

D@mn, and people give has/tak flack for reasonable kibble (some cases notwithstanding) that is just, no. He can't even stand in a normal manner with those 'legs' #-o

Looking at official pictures from Toyworld, he is meant to stand with his legs further apart. I just put his legs together so he'd be taller. There is no official combiner mode instructions in any of the 3 released figures so far, so we're all just guessing that this is how it's supposed to be, based on pictures of prototypes.

Also, one thing notable about Long Haul, is that his waist is as wide as Devastator's. Most third-party combiners forget to widen the waist, and keep the combined mode waist as wide as the center voyager-class waist! This leads to them all having wide-legged combiner stances. Hasbro/Takara thankfully remembers to account for this (except for the Energon 5-member combiners...)

That Longhaul is a "voyager" in name only. He's so big, he's really an ULTRA class figure. Not that I'm complaining, of course.

In all honesty, the best Devastator is the official HASTAK, CW titant class. Because not only he's the REAL Devastator, not a re-imagining, he's accurate to the G1 toy and cartoon to a T. Especially the "Cartoon colored" re-issue.

I don't necessarily disagree, but technically CW Devy is a reimagining too, with the updated vehicles and all.

They'really very tame updates though. More like an animation error or an artist mistake between panels.

He "is" Devastator. I don't think anyone really thinks this updates invalidates that....

Btw do you wanna get that 3rd party Mixmaster to combine with Devy? I can't decide! :BANG_HEAD:

Nah. I'm impressed by what I've seen in the reviews so I'll be sticking with the regular Devy :BOT:

The one that is mostly updated is Mixmaster. The rest are almost 1:1 remakes à-la Masterpeice.

By the way, one design "flaw" that is clearly a genius design is Longhauls carrying bin. Once transformed, it have 2 giant holes, where Longhaul's kneecaps used to be. This allow Devastator to have a "thin" waist because the truck dump bin is "invisible" as the back kibble. That's just brilliant.

Also, the infamous Herculese. I personally find it butt-ugly and he's also tiny compared to CW Devy.

Okay, I admit, he's pretty awesome looking. Still, it's pretty disapointing that a fake Devastator is half the size as the real one for 3X the price.

That's Maketoys Giant - again with the narrow waist so typical of third-party combiners!

Yeah I'm just getting Takara Devy, then maybe if I wanna get that Mixmaster a couple months later, I'll probably go after it. But really, I need some Masterpieces, which are more important to me then that 3rd party Mixmaster!

I am hoping that Costco gets Devastator like they did Metroplex. My only thought with that is that perhaps Hasbro learned their lesson and didn't over-purchase Devastator. The worst part is, that by the time I find out if they will have Devastator or not, he probably won't be available anywhere. I just can't really justify a $150 expenditure on a toy anymore.

Just tell you that you are buying 6 voyagers at 25$ each. If you really love Devastator but wait for a sale, you may have to pay scalper prices down the line. However, if you don't care enough, skip it and save money.

I never had Devastator as a kid. He is kind of a holy grail toy to me. I may end up picking him up if I get a coupon or find him on sale. BBTS has him for a little less, so they might be an option in the end, especially since they tend to have a steady stock of him.

And convincing myself I am buying six toys instead of one actually makes it worse. I just wish he was not the price of almost two regular CW combiners.

I am hoping they gave some form of a biceps cut to Mixmaster and Hook, so that they can cross their arms or something.

Btw some of those links don't work on my computer for some reason, so I have no idea what you mean by "re-engineered knees on Bonecrusher and Scavenger", and in this picture:

Their knees look the same.

If you have another picture that would be great. :-P
