Don Murphy sets the Record Straight

Over the last 24 hours or so, most of the Transformers sites have made reports that Don Murphy, one of the producers of the 2007 Transformers movie, had confirmed that Peter Cullen has auditioned as voice actor for the movie.

However, the producer made no such claims and made a statement on his board on the subject. The rumor got started when a thread was made on his board, and some people misread what he posted.

The following is a direct quote of the statement, which still neither confirms nor denies the rumor surrounding Cullen's audition, that Don Murphy posted on his board.

"I never confirmed ANYTHING of the kind. Nada.

Someone else posted it.

I made fun of them.

DO NOT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH".
