Could this possibly be a new Universe 3.0 mold

Probably not, but only time will tell till we see a bot mode.

His Pretender shell has orange chest, shin and knee guards and feet.
His Inner robot tank mode is mostly green with a purple cannon.

I know it may be hard to do, but it would have been nice if they kept the orange hidden away in vehicle mode, and only visible in robot mode.

I will def be getting Bludgeon and Lockdown and add them to my UNIVERSE line.
All I remember from Botcon was that Bludgeon and Lockdown were the best parts of the Hasbro panel...IMO.

But, his tank mode is a bit... odd.
I'm disapointed.
Hopefully a great robot mode will save this guy.

No offense, but you must have really low expectations if you can declare that "win, total win" based on that picture. All I see is a blurry tank, and that's no automatic win in my book.

Really? Well I'll be. I guess I was just hoping it was a glimpse at 3.0. Oh well.

He'll look close to a Classic though. I think they were going to use this mold in the classics line awhile back. But not sure if this was the mold they wanted. I just remember geeking out when the pics of this showed up. I think his skull face is more like...the Punisher logo as well. Not like an actual skull like he's known to have...but that was awhile ago.

I wanna see bot-mode pics. If he fits in with the classics/universe figs he is so mine. I dig the stubby lil tank. He has those rocket launchers on his turret side like movie Brawl....

I love tank altmodes, I love Voyager toys, I love skulls and I love all those little details like weapons we can see in that pic. I mean look at the sword, you can see that the bottom half is indeed the tank turret. And this will indeed be the first time a Bludgeon comes with a sword.
That in my book is win.

Remember Cyclonus? People hated his color scheme and non stopped complained about it until an official image was released.
Can't wait to see a bot mode. Too bad he's not a Mega Pretender. That would be even better!

Down_Shift wrote:Excellent. Even a blurry picture like that makes me smile. I love the size of the sword that it comes with. Who cares if it has a little orange on it, it's not like any one put a big red stamp on the images saying "final product"

Oh how we loved those promotional images but the final product looked just like the pics we complained about.

I'm starting to think that orange might be robot-mode parts, like chest and legs.

They need to stretch the toy line out until the video is released and then christmas, after all.
Those repaints we saw of Universe 2.0 Silverbolt and Onslaught come to mind too.

Nope, the way it was said at Botcon, i'm pretty sure this was geared for the line. Although like you said, It's a bit odd for it to be placed in this RotF toyline... and we've already got a Bludgeon that came with Autobot Whirl in Masters of Metallikato Boxset.

Actually, he was just there to kill everything on Earth.
Did anyone mention how the sword is meant to slide into the turret and thereby extend the barrel of the cannon?
Because that was the most bad-ass part of the pic preview at BotCon.

I don't like our chances, but it would look damn awesome if they did that. I'm pretty stoked he has a sword at least.
As long as he doesn't look movie-style in robot mode I'll be picking him up for sure.
Also, is it just me, or does it look like he has actual tank treads? Not just moulded treads like most tank-formers? If I'm right that would be damn awesome.

I did.

Lol I only just noticed but it looks like Blurr has a purple Autobot symbol in that cover.
Edit, dudes I just saw his promational pic of bot-mode and alt-mode shown at BotCon

And may I repeat myself:
Win, total WIN!

Okay guys, I deserve a tiny bit of credit for this (unless someone posts first lol), but it mostly goes to TFW2005, obviously. XD
Here's the bot mode:

Pretty freakin' awesome if you ask me.
There's also a bunch of pics of other new figures, but I'll leave those to arrive via the normal channels.

I don't see what's so bad about the orange. He's supposed to be orange. Not much of it seems to show in tank mode. And he has swords. Finally.
Although I'm surprised they ddin't just reuse Cybertron Unicron (since he has a skull face and tank mode and all), I am very glad they didn't.

I agree with you full head, good buddy, but I love this new incarnation of Bludgeon, as I an a bit of a Bludgeon fan. It appears to be a mix between his inner robot and his Pretender shell, with the robot resembling his shell, and his vehicle mode his inner robot's vehicle mode. Cant wait till this guy hits shelves along with an awesome looking ROTF-ized Lockdown! No Death for Prowl wrote:This looks like the figure Universe Galvatron should have been and never turned out to be.

I'm loving the design as well. I think the design is pretty cool with homaging the G1 Bludgeon in such a way. The accessories are pretty nifty too. It's about time a Bludgeon figure gets a proper sword.
