While Toysrus Canada has had the Platinum Planet of Junk set available for a while now, the set had yet to come to the US. It was only available as an Asian import with the high cost accompanying it (i.e. 120$). Thanks to fellow Seibertronian AZT, we now know that Target, the exclusive US retailer for this Platinum set, finally has this in stock. So if anyone has been interested in this set, it is finally available online for the more affordable price of $74.99 USD. For those unaware, this set is made up of:

Wreck-Gar as a redeco of Reveal the Shield Wreck-Gar
Autobot Hot Rod (NOT "Rodimus") as a redeco of Classics Rodimus
Junkion Scrapheap as a redeco of e-HOBBY United Scrapheap

Fellow Seibertronian Kurthy sent us some great news for all US fans. While Canadians have been enjoying their latest Warrior Robots in Disguise figures, this latest wave which includes Quillfire and Thunderhoof has yet to be found in the states. Or even available online, until now. Hasbro Toy Shop has the latest wave, broken down below, along with Combiner Wars Wreckgar.

For Thunderhoof and Quillfire, it does say this is the Mini-Cons Weaponizers Version of the molds. Is there any difference from the standard Warrior Class?

They've also posted CW Onslaught at HTS - noted by me a few days ago. But hey, who listens to Death, right? ;)

Just by way of clarity, which forum should online stocking and sightings be posted? In this one, or in the online sightings/available one? They're both kind of the same. Should one be consolidated into the other to avoid confusion...?

Thee is no difference, its just a subline which reminds people that these guys have fists which can hold 5mm weapons, which is what the minicon weapons turn into.

It just means "and remember kids, hey can also hold weapons in their hands... each sold seperately"

Looking back through that thread, it looks like someone asked you to 'retire' that thread a while ago. So maybe it ain't the place for post in'.

I've been posting online sightings there, including Wreck-Gar, which turned up last Saturday, and Onslaught, who was there last Friday (and still is)... Still no sign of Sky Lynx ;)

Interesting, I look on there every couple days, sometimes once daily, but last night was the first time I saw Wreckgar. I didn't post about Onslaught since my local stores have three or four each.

I checked either last Friday or Saturday and spotted Onslaught. I know he's turning up in stores now (finally), but for the benefit of those who still can't find him... HTS with free shipping is still as decent a bargain as you might find. And better than Amazon, probably... As to Wreck-gar, I'm sure it was either Sunday or Monday that my minions spotted him on HTS. They check the numbers of CW figures. One day it was 36 - then 37. So they wondered, what's the 37th one?

I'll find out more Monday; but I was under the impression BBTS should be shipping mine out (versus Pre-Order) that said... kinda wish I went with Target.... That's what I get for working Graveyards and jumping the gun. I am curious if these will be in stores tho.

Same. There have been reports of people finding them with photos to prove and I've been checking but no luck so far. Doesn't seem like an item that would be in stores but if that $200 Star Wars tie fighter can be sold in stores why not this I suppose.

but ouch, shots fired with the tie fighters... TBH, they want too much and it strikes me as WAY too big (unless there's some voodoo with the packaging).

Back on topic. BBTS processed my order, so I guess they sold out of the initial stock.

I still think she'll look good in a display with (the Takara) Windblade

Not going to argue that, Victorion is a totally new character, the only reason a parent would buy it for a kid is because they might think it looks cool. Thats a chance most stores wont take. A Tie Fighter has much better odds of being recognized, wanted and aquired.

Other than LEGO or video games (which seem to always get a pass) general retail stuff that ends up at or north of $100 seems to shelf-warm unless it's Christmas Time.

I think what bothers me about stores not stocking Vicky (though again, I can understand why) is some kids who might truly enjoy her, won't even know she exists.

Off-topic. I'd have expected Rey's Speeder in a Starwars Black Vehicle line over a Tie-Fighter (size/cost-wise). But that's another completely different conversation to have (on another forum?). #-o

also colors are breaking on the webpage, but not in the forums proper... strange.

Found ordering from the link on the page to be a hassle (no-loading on payment page), so I went to the normal Target website and ordered it just fine. Might keep her in a box for 30 days until a cheaper option can be found.

My guess is that HTS is waiting for the MAYMAYHEM 15% off code to expire today before they release him on their site. But even then, regular retail is much better than the inflated prices on BBTS.

And its too bad everyone just encouraged BBTS to continue these premium price practices.

It's insurance. I am willing to pay that price for this figure, due to it's limited availability. If he shows up on Amazon for cheaper, I'll get him there. But, I no longer have the ability to hang out on the Internet hitting refresh until the figure becomes available. Perhaps Groove will be available well after this weekend, like Quickslinger and Brake Neck last year. But I don't want to risk it. This is a reason I am okay paying a bit more with a retailer like BBTS.

It's all capitalism. I find it a bit harsh that BBTS is considered a scalper. If people are willing to pay the price, we do. If not, then the choice to wait on HTS or Amazon is very valid too. Capitalism! ;)^

Well said! Plus it's BBTS, you can always cancel your order if you can get it from HTS at retail when it goes up, better safe then sorry.

It might as well have been minutes for those of us who were already in bed when the preorder went live and didn't see it until 5:30 this morning.

My guess is that HTS is waiting for the MAYMAYHEM 15% off code to expire today before they release him on their site. But even then, regular retail is much better than the inflated prices on BBTS.

That may be the saddest thing of all. If HTS waits until their May Mayhem coupon expires to release their May Mayhem figures, that's just disappointing. Almost as bad as putting up Christmas lights in August, but taking them down Christmas Eve.
