Fellow Seibertronian AutobotDad has sent us a notification on the boards and via news submission of a new set of discounts over on Hasbro Toy Shop and their official eBay page. Lasting until 21st January, you can use the code NEW2018 to receive 18% off the likes of Robots in Disguise Thermidor and Bludgeon, or first wave Power of the Primes legend class Slash, Beachcomber, and Windcharger, and other new toys from other brands.

The eBay store, on the other hand, includes 50% off Titans Return figures like Triggerhappy and Twinferno, 20% off Titans Return Hot Rod, and general discounts across Generations and Robots in Disguise figures.

What were you looking for? The PotP Dinobots have been out of stock for a few weeks now for example.

Man......for once, my insomnia ( :shock: ) paid off! I was able to snag Bludgeon and Thermidor. 18% off isn't a GREAT discount, but it does bring it down a couple of bucks, and makes it cheaper than I've seen on non-clearance RiD figures.

There has been recent discussion into whatever happened to Platinum Edition Year of the Rooster Optimus Prime. Well, he is simply one of those exclusive toys that no retailer in the US chose to pick up and thus was never made available there. However, he was available on Walmart.ca but at the very high price of $160 CAD. Now, Walmart has put him on clearance at $98 (about $80 USD), which is a 40% clearance.

This is a reissue of THS-02 Hybrid Style G1 Convoy, who was originally available for around $70 USD from importers, back in 2006. He is roughly the size of a Scout sized figure but with the complexity of the first Masterpiece Optimus Prime. This Year of the Rooster edition is the very first Hasbro release of this toy.

This is not the only toy to ow go on clearance on the website. Combiner Wars G2 Superion is also now being liquidated, for $88 CAD.

Do they ship to the USA? I tried getting a postal quote out of curiosity, but it only will allow for CA postal codes.

Okay so I guess I should be buthurt. One, he's still too exspensive. 2, only available in Canada. I used to have that toy and it is one that I miss.

Ask a fellow Seibertronian to middleman one for you. It should be around 20$CAN to ship from Canada to the USA. Meaning around 108$US shipped.

I can't do it however. So just ask around! ;)^

The question you must ask yourself is do you REALLY want it? If yes, now is the time to ask a canuck to middleman one for you. If you wait too long, you may miss it. And if you find it at a ridiculous price at TJ-Max after importing one, well, just buy it one more time! Keep it sealed or middleman it to someone else who did miss out.

I'm kinda torn about it. Should I buy or should I not? Displaying that Optimus in a flying pose with his backpack and a pointing finger would be wicked cool.

It's an interesting figure that fits in line with the Brave Masterpiece series.

Not worth it tbh. I bought that Prime on salfe for 35, he's a really outdated toy unfortunately.
