What is Transformers Magazine #1? I seem to have missed the news briefs on that. Is it movie-related or regular continuity?

From the preview pictures they posted, it looks like their Marvel reprint series. Maybe this is how their "Generations" stories will be published from now on?

It's a collection of three comics, not all of them Marvel. I think they're putting the first issue of Stormbringer in there too.

Can someone float me a dollar fifty so I can get the Galvatron Spotlight? I blew most of my money to get the Movie Prequel.

It's about time someone does something spectacular with one of the best villainous figure heads in transformers history. Props for not having him yet another upgraded Megs. That was cool in the day, but old as hell now.

Is the Magazine the one Furman has been working on recently? It has a couple of different comics in it every issues, an 80's Marvel, and IDW fairly recent and a DW reprint as well (I think).

Bring on the Galvatron!

I am so looking Forward to the Galvatron Spotlight. I thought the Kup Spotlight was awesome.

Well, with the Megatron Origins, and now the Galvatron Spotlight, the heavy baddies on the Decepticon side are really get some play!

I'm hoping this is among the best of the Spotlights (Shockwave, Nightbeat, Soundwave, Kup...), well, they've all been decent, but I didn't like Sixshot much... As long as it is better than Sixshot!!! 8)

Transformers Magazine...I may get this just to get it, but I'm not sure if I will continue getting it or not.

Galvatron's an emissary of the Dead Universe that Furman keeps going on about in his Escalation rants, isn't he?

agreed, not a big fan of the art on that one, or the story for that matter.

Really?. I really enjoyed the stream of conciousness-esque feel with kup. And the alternating art styles really set the mood very well. To each his own i guess...

My comic store's shipping list only has part 4 of the movie as out tomorrow. They were right about Megatron: Origins' first issue, and I'm certain it'll be the same for the Galvatron Spotlight - probably next week for that one. Wouldn't surprise me at all if we don't get it tomorrow - not being pessimistic, just saying.

Ryall confirmed yesterday over at the IDW boards that there was a slight mixup between Diamond and themselves. I hadn't seen anyone else post this:

I just got off the phone with Diamond. Unfortunately, GALVATRON is a July book, and for whatever reason, according to them, trying to get a book out in the month before it's solicited threw them off and they held the book over to next week. Sorry--next week for sure, long with the first issue of the New Avengers/Transformers crossover. Feel free to spread this around to any other site that is discussing the book, too.

This was in response to people another post:

In all fairness to Diamond, while we wanted it to come out today, as they explained it to me, their system isn't set up to handle books that move forward in the schedule like this. So it was more of an automated thing, not any sort of hissy fit or petulant move on their part. I'm sure they'd be happy to have another TF book out before the movie, too, it's just that the automated system keeps July books until July and isn't set up to ship them early. Now we know.

And finally yet another response:

Here is our process
1. Our printer sends us shipping lists telling us when books will arrive in the states, when they get to Diamond, when they will be in stores.
2. We confirm these dates with Diamond.
3. We then list these releases on our site.
Now, if someone in a different time zone gets to a shop before we on the West Coast can physically confirm the books are in local shops, and they notice the missing book and contact me, and I look into it and find out that this one didnt arrive like it should've

Hope that helps. I'll admit that it would have been nice to have this confirmation come out before yesterday (without the "is-it-or-isn't-it" situation), but it appears that He too was expecting it to come out yesterday.

So Diamond has no problem with late books, but God-forbid a company try to have an early book? Lame.
