Thanks to Japanese site seesaa blog, we get to see the Takara ROTF Swerve, exclusive to Amazon JP in Japan.
The release date of Takara ROTF Swerve is on the coming October 2009.

From images, seems like the Takara version of Swerve comes with brighter red, compare to its Hasbro counterpart.

www.posingstandemporium.com? and if not,...I'd better get on buying that domain and making a posing stand emporium website that sells posing stands :-) 8-}

but yea, dude shoulda been red in the movie cause it's way better than silver.

I love that stand but the figure sucks. I just can't get past that funky melon he's got. And vaporretarder the domain posingstandemporium.com is available and I can help you design the site if you know where to get these jewels of stands they keep coming up with. My fee 16 stands(4 deluxe, 8 voyager, 2 leader & 2 masterpeice sized). What do ya say? :P

I agree on the red, but I sure like Sideswipe's head mold better than Swerve's. :-?

Agreed - I'm loathe to order this just on the off-chance that it might be different. I'd love to see some comparison pics.

Weren't there also reports that the Takara Voyager Megatron and Leader Jetfire were slightly different shades to their US counterparts? Again, comparison pics are a must.

Now if any mold would benefit from stand assistance for posing, it's Sideswipe/Swerve. Though, I have posed my brother's Sideswipe in dynamic action poses that were more stable than other traditional flat-footed TF figures.

Very nice. I'm really glad I found the Hasbro version of Swerve, this is one of my favorite molds.

I'm always so confused when people don't like molds that I really love :lol:

I still say he was originally going to be passed off as a G1 colored Sideswipe but for some reason they named him swerve. Who really looked at this figure and thought Swerve?

One could make the case that he resembles or is an homage to Universe Swerve, but certainly not G1 Swerve.

Same guy who named this one:

Apparently, red car = Swerve.

I don't know. I'd say this Corvette Stingray looks closer to a G1 era Trans-Am than a G1 era Lamborghini.

As for the color, I too want to see some comparison pics between the two versions of Swerve.

Anyhoo...
