I can't see the word bonnet without automatically adding "bee in your" to it.

Exciting! Please let us know how the paint matching and quality is on it, as it will probably be a good indicator of what to expect from the Asian re-release of MP-12 in September. Common issues with the current MP-12 in North America include the doors and other black plastic parts that are covered with red paint don't match the red paint on the non-black-base parts (this issue is seen in almost every clear side shot or video review of MP-12), and some have actual (small) quality issues like drips, streaks or bubbles on the paint on the roof or edges of panels. If TT has improved their QC, it will likely be evident in this release.

Sorry if the post was confusing, but this is for the australian release. So we wont know of the paint ameliorations until that version comes out. Also, MP-12 still hasnt come to north america (MP 05, MP 12, Wheeljack, Ultra Magnus and Bumblebee are all molds that have yet to get an american release). Any presence of MP 12 in north america is an import of the Takara Release from Japan.
There was one extra release though for the TF Expo and it is the latest release of the figure before this upcoming one. You can read a review here to know how the paint apps on that one was.

Sorry for the confusion. I know this is for the AU release. But unless the AU release is leftover inventory from the first round of Takara MP-12 release, it's newer production, and therefore should be more indicative of what we'll see on the Takara re-release of MP-12.
You are correct though regarding North America. I was thinking of the MP-12s that have been imported to NA. My bad =)

It's all good
And now I get what you mean. Yeah, this AU release could be indicative of the Japan rerelease. But as I said, they did release this toy again at the TF expo as an exclusive (it didnt have the autobot tampo) and thats the one I own. The paint was quite good on it, from what I can tell.
