Ok, these pictures confirm me Blaster is a clear winner on the TT side. I prefer the Hasbro versions for the rest. Rewind is nice but it's not MTMTE enough for me. The beasts just seem a little saturated yet bland on the TT side, almost too G1

Sorry to dissapoint you mate, but it's not lightpiping, they painted part of his visor red and part blue to simulate his face and eyes from the G1 cartoon

I got to admit the coloring on Blaster's legs is really nice. I didn't want the Hasdro version at all but Takara's is really tempting. Come to think of it the FoC one has legs similar to Hasbro's new one and I'm growing accustomed to a large Blaster. As if Titans Return wasn't expensive enough already.

Unfortunately, the visor is the one thing that puts me off of this version of Blaster. Also, I hope it's just the white paint with bring lights for the photography, but it really washes out almost all of the facial detail on Blaster. Unless you squint hard, it looks like he's just got a smooth mouth plate covering his face.

Honestly, I'm kinda glad that this Blaster is marvel-accurate. Show-accurate heads are nice and all, but it'd be nice to let the Marvel fans have stuff too.

Just the lighting 'jake. Though an adjustable visor similar to UW devs would have been nice, the size limitation might be hard to implement.

I'm having a really hard time with the choice on Blaster.
I really like the leg color, but the white face with visor just looks wrong to me.
(also, the big black dot on his chest is out of place...)

It's more of their ongoing sometimes misplaced goal to recreate perfect show deco. As Ryan keeps saying, this is often to the detriment of the toy.
And I dont even get it, this toy is clearly not the G1 Blaster but instead a new take on him, due to all the new playability, transformation, gimick, ect. So I dont see why Takara cant instead opt for a deco that works best for this new toy rather than impose their current agenda.
Also, what blows a bit is that MSRP in Japan has gone up 5$ for the Leader Class.

100% agree!
But, like you said, that still leaves the face looking off. They cant give him his traditional eyes because of the helmet gimmick.

Oh yeah,f'sho. I was just referring to regular ol' piping such as you'll find on Samus' body suit or super hero costumes, ala Fantastic Four-which is used to break up a simple design.
