Wow... I actually like how Grimlock turned out. But Optimus has one doofy looking robot mode. The idea of the interaction between them sounds interesting, though, so I'll give them that.
Goddamn, Sabrblade hit the nail hard on this. Will be immeasurably disappointed if this is the best Age of Extinction can give us.

Yep, still ugly.
More Construct-Bots? How about clearing out the ones still on the shelves and getting some Generations toys in there.

I hate Bayverse Grimlock's head design. Since when does Dinobot = Rhino Beetle?
Or maybe he stole Manga Spawn's helmet...

This actually looks pretty good for a Bionicle - Transformer figure. I thought it was a good looking deluxe class figure but it's a constuct-o-bot thing.
I have little doubt that the main line will be decent as well.

compared to the shelf warmers we've got now those are pretty impressive, might pick up grimlock depending on the price.

Oh, wow! Age Of Extinction toys that actually transform! I might finally have a reason to buy Construct Bots for the first time.
Sad to say.

What better way to show what I think of this, than with an 80's cartoon intro:

These look really pretty cool actually, better than anything we've seen of the main Movie line till now.
How sad is it, that that little Optimus there looks like he has a more involved and interesting transformation than the Leader Class figures.

I have to say... I'm actually kinda digging these. I really like the smaller sets for some reason. Guess the thought of a mini Lockdown amuses me.

Those mini figures might be the Dark Horse of the AOE line. They look really cool and I think can fill the void that the Legion class is leaving behind.

So it's confirmed there won't be any Legends/Legion class figures? Well that's disappointing. They've been doing that line since at least Cybertron, and they sell like hotcakes. Seems weird to drop it.

No, there will still be Legends, as in those Targetmaster ones we've gotten for the Generations line. It's just the Cyberverse (Legion and Commander) isn't sticking around.RAcast wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:RAcast wrote:Yeah, I'll probably be picking up that Grimlock and miniPrime, they look pretty good.

Movie stuff is in Generations now. The adult toys for AOE are Generations, while the younger, simpler AOE toys are Robots in Disguise.RAcast wrote:Sabrblade wrote:No, there will still be Legends, as in those Targetmaster ones we've gotten for the Generations line.
