Hasbro has filed a new petition to the US Patent and Trademark office, and it is for the name Shockwave! While we have had some figures named Shockwave recently, it is interesting to see them going for the rights on this name. Does this mean an Animated figure, a Universe, or Movie figure? Could it lead to an Encore release? We'll have to wait and see.

Unless it pertains to a reissue here, I'm not phazed one way or the other really. It's just a name to me. Same deal with the Alternator.

My first bet would be TFA too, with Universe/Classics falling a close second.

I'm highly doubtful this indicates and Encore release. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Hasbro has taken anything from Takara's Encore line since they did that "Commemorative Series" thing... and that was years ago.

The prototype Titanium mould was freekin' sweet, but I'm guessing it's probably an animated figure.

I hope it's the Movieverse triple changer (anti-air turret / Apache / very G1-esque robot mode with movie aestetics)

Heck, he was close enough to G1 to do double duty as a Classics/Universe Shockwave.

Realistically I'm thinking Animated Shockwave,
but really hoping for a Universe Shockwave, IF it's not a stupid Cybertron mold repainted.
