Jon and Karl Hartman Selling Their Collection at BotCon 2015

With BotCon 2015 fast approaching, we received news that big names of the fandom will be selling off their collection at this year's convention: said big names are Jon and Karl Hartman, the original founders of BotCon! This is what they had to say about their venture:

Hi folks. Some of you might remember that Jon and myself sold a good part of our old collection at BotCon in 2006. We will be bringing the rest of it to sell this year at BotCon, in St. Charles. Mostly 1998-2006 toys. Priced to move. I'll try to update this with a broad list of eras from which we will be bringing toys to sell.

Looking forward to one more (last?) go round!

Karl

As previously mentioned, this is round two of selling their collection, round one being in BotCon 2006. Expect there to be lots of goodies, ranging from general releases to coveted rarities!

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

I wouldnt be suprised if at least 5 "dealers" at Botcon every year are former collectors selling their collection. Seems like a cool way to avoid all the drama selling on e-bay must bring.

I know a lot of folks that do conventions and toy shows when they downsize large collections. You're absolutely right as to the why - way easier to put stuff out and just get cash and hand it to someone then to have to photograph it, list it, wait for it to sell, box it up, ship it out, and all that jazz!
