Have you been checking out Ken Christiansen's Facebook page for his art? You should be if you haven't because there's some truly nice pencil sketches as well finished pieces involving packaging art of some of the latest Transformers from Combiner Wars to Titans Return. Christiansen is adding more of his work for the Generations series of toys at a steady pace.

Transformers News: Ken Christiansen Posted More Generations (Combiner Wars) Packaging Art

Be sure to check out more of it by clicking the pencil drawing of Combiner Wars Streetwise above. There's also a lot of other Transformers art on hand there too that are not packaging art that are genuinely awesome as well.

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

Anyone else notice he has a 5mm port for the HFG on each leg? Whoops! accidential symmetry.

While I agree the hand reaching out or finger pointing pose is way over done, what is the alternative? The fist clenched pose that has been way overused in comics and action figure artwork for decades?

Reading a book and drinking a latte?

Sorry.

Cyber-latte?

That was the first thing I noticed. Just double checked and they didn't correct it when the line art was colored, the comic cover has both as well. Oops.

So I was walking around a mall in Malaysia today after work (business trip) and spotted CW Onslaught and CW Cyclonus at an Aeon store (kind like Walmart).

Edit: The weirdest part, they were with wave 1 PotP prime masters, deluxes and voyagers.

If you've been hemming and hawing at picking up your Fan-Built Combiner, now's your chance! ThinkGeek.com has Victorion available for the very low price of $49.99! That's a 50% discount over her original MSRP of $99.99. Having got her when she originally came out, I can say that especially at this price, she's an absolute steal. The new headsculpts and retooling really make these figures their own characters. Victorion and her components have been prominently featured since her/their introduction in fiction in 2016, predominantly in the ongoing Optimus Prime series.

If you want to pick this combiner up, please click here to be taken to her order page and enjoy!

GIRL POWER!

When we saw the name of this Transformers set, we were hoping for mandatory bustles and robots that turned into penny farthing bicycles. Oh wait. VictoriOn. We'll go out and come in again.

It's the fan-built gestalt Transformer Victorion! You guys picked all her particulars (including making her and all her Autobots female). Now you can proudly display your creation on your collectibles shelf. These Rust Renegades, Pyra Magna, Dustup, Jumpstream, Skyburst, Stormclash, and Rust Dust, each come with their own unique weapon which then combines into a giant super blade of ultimate awesome.

And I just dropped $70 on some Armada/Energon nostalgia yesterday. :BANG_HEAD:

Hopefully it’ll still be there when I get paid again at the end of the month.

This is a great set and thats a great price. Wish I had waited. But I dont play the waiting game with my collection to save money. You only live once and Im not getting younger. But this is good for those new collectors who missed out.

Much thanks for the heads up. At that price, I'm interested. I really liked the idea of a strong, be female team of TFs, but the colour scheme/mapping want always off, IMO. With some Repros and that price though, I'm all up for it.

I still can't figure out that colour scheme at all. It's just such an eyesore.

I agree. I hope that I can use some reprolabels and some custom paint to fix it to my liking.

As has become a regular occurrence, artist Ken Christiansen has been uploading more lineart he provided for Hasbro to use on Transformers packaging - with colours done by Volta, the company headed by Sara Pitre Durocher - and we get to see a few more characters from Combiner Wars, including newcomer Rook and the Combaticons Onslaught, Brawl, and Blast Off!

Additionally, fellow artist Marcelo Matere has also uploaded his take on packaging art for the combined form of the Protectobots: Defensor, and the Combiner Wars bizarre creation (in both the toyline and the comics event) Galvatronus. Check it all out below!

That’s Blast Off’s packaging art with Firefly’s head.

We have been betrayed.

But... but... why?! :-(

If Blast Off had used the Firefly head, he'd have been the first of only two straight redecos in general retail (next to Smokescreen, with Quickslinger as an exclusive instead); the rest all had switched out parts, I guess that played a slight part. Good to know that head was at least considered...

How was Votex different from Alpha Bravo?

OK, first, shared with Votrex, of three. In my defense, I didn't consider Alpha Bravo because he isn't a Classic Aerialbot member.

I guess I just know that a lot of people would’ve preferred the Firefly head. The perfect one for Blast Off would’ve been Slingshot’s with a faceplate.

And let’s be honest, Alpha Bravo was a Vortex redeco.
