Not many fans were aware of who Mark Ryan was a few months ago. All they knew was he would be providing the voice for Ironhide and Hoist in the Transformers Movie video game. One line in the end. Quite contradictive of the rest of the plot, although they apparently tried to explain it with pseudo-psychology in the final cut.
