good, he was never worth the £130+ takara tagged for him but if hes now under £60 i guess its hard to pass him up
prob get him then but feel he'll fit in with the universe line better

If he is exactly the same, then thats the last Masterpiece figure I will be buying from Takara. I dont think im going to continue to pay more than double just for a nice black box!!

My thoughts exactly. I really want a US Thundercracker since the Takara version had some issues.

As for Grimlock, I'm pleased for the people who held off for one reason or another. He's a cool figure and may just pick up a US version so I'll have one to diplay in each mode.

Going forward, I question whether I'll jump at future Takara releases. In nearly all cases, both versions are available at the same time-the online retailers still have the Takara versions available at the time of the US release. I'll probably hold off and then compare the differences before choosing which way to go.

Now I just have to find the damn thing! Same with Skywarp. I never managed to find Starscream, but I will get Warp.

This is cool. I already have the Takara release, but I will pick up a Hasbro release so I can have both robot and dino mode. Hopefully it looks just as good as the Takara version. I'm really hoping for a Target exclusive, as they are easier to find than Walmart exclusives for me. We'll see. My guess is it'll be Walmart since both Starscream and Skywarp have been.

thats awesome! glad to hear such a great figure will be more available to people who either missed out the 1st time or couldnt afford the hefty price tag.

im not too worried tho, i love my takara version and im sure the quality of the hasbro version wont be as good.
