We revive the Masterpiece Masterthread with a new rumour following the aftermath of the two latest reveals of Hot Rod and Shockwave - with, finally, a silhouette that many have been waiting to see for a very long time. Seibertroninan Delta Magnus sends this over, though they did source it from 4chan, and it is to be taken with many handfuls of salt. Check out what might be Takara Tomy MP-29 Arcee below!

We already heard hints towards MP-28 being Hound, so who knows, the shoe might just fit...

UPDATE
Thanks to Seibertronian Sabrblade, as well as various social media comments, it looks like this one should possibly move from being taken with "many handfuls of salt" to "the entire salt mine". The new information is found below:

Hopefully this update doesn't make anyone too disappointed, but while a Masterpiece Arcee isn't outside of the realm of possibility, it's not looking like this image is any sort of proof that it's happening either.

The original Hound rumor already said he'd be MP-28, though. Which also begs the question of why one would put Hound's name on an Arcee image.

And keep in mind whom the source of this Arcee image is. 4chan tends to be more untrustworthy as a legit news source than not, so for all we know this rumor could just be rubbish.

Regardless of a Hasbro release for shockwave I'm getting it no matter what! I have no doubt we'll get hot rod and rumored Arcee because there's no auto licensing issues.

I'm still confused as to why we haven't seen Sunstreaker yet, as it's clear they still have the Lambo license. There's at least 2 diaclone repaints that mold could do, and it's not like they've totally forgotten about the character ( like Hubcap ) as he just had a CW release.

there could be the off chance that this was miss numbered and was supposed to go after Hound and she is supposed to be MP-30 or something like that

please let that be the birthday presents of the soon to be 24 year olds who grew up with armada on and happy 20th to the 20s yo who grew up with BW >:oP :(

So if Hot Rod is coming down the line, and Arcee might be MP-29, is it possible that finally Springer will be MP-30?

If there's any pattern to this at all, it looks like they're avoiding combiners and the larger scale 85 lineup like Inferno and Grapple at the moment and just going for the standard size cars. If this is true, I'd say no to a triple changer like Springer yet but maybe a Kup or Blurr. Having said that, they'll probably release Omega Supreme next just to show there's no rhyme or reason to the release schedule anymore.

Thing is, guys, Takara does MP reveals via things like magazines and toy shows. This image is too plain to be from a magazine.

And if fully physical prototypes of Shockwave and Hot Rod don't have ID numbers yet, why would an unproduced black silhouette already have one?

And more importantly, why would a picture of Arcee bear Hound's name instead of Arcee's name?

Agreed. And we've only known about Shockwave for less than 24 hrs. I, for one, haven't fully mentally digested that yet. Screw this rumor. Shockwave is real.
