After yesterday's images from Transformers: Power of the Primes, we have some more leaked content from regular weibo source tf-factory showing off artwork for Abominus as well as the combiners whos torsos are made of voyagers Elita-1 and Inferno (as maybe a G2 Defensor or Guard City homage?) with a Dinobot limb - in fact both the latter (Slug) and Elita-1's leg (Jazz, in fact) are also shown in official images, along with Swoop and Dreadwind, to show off the compatibility with the Prime Masters and Decoy Suits. The head crest(?) doesn't really flare out from the body as much as it should.

Also Abominus does keep the beast head knees thing?! :shock:

I am really interested to see this transformation now!

Glad to see Elita keeping her mean streak attitude from TAAO too, at least in combined mode. Love it!

I'm pretty sure that's not G2 Menasor or even a G2 Motormaster mold. That's definitely a repaint of Hot Spot (Defensor) or in this case, Voyager Class Inferno from Power of the Primes line.

Don't you mean a repaint of Defensor, or in this case, a repaint of Hot Spot into Inferno.

If Elita-1 has the Jet cockpit for a chest in combined mode then she might be a remold/redeco of Starscream?

Also I think they meant to say G2 Defensor in the original post.

But as pointed out by others, isn't it more likely that it's inferno, a redeco of hot spot and not G2 defensor?

Yeah. It fails. Many of these PotP toys just look kinda nasty (especially that Jazz that looks so low quality and not even half as good as the RTS mold) and suffer from being forced into those gimmicks the characters were never part of in the first place. A real shame they couldn't have just updated the Dinobots normally and ignored the combiner crud.

I'm really liking the look of Swoop there. Shame they couldn't work in guns or something on his big beast mode backpack, but still really friggin' awesome

Can't wait to combine him and Jazz to Sky Lynx or Elita-1 or someone!

So seeing as how Inferno doesn't have a new combined mode head it makes me wonder how Takara is going to play this. Will they give him a new head? Maybe not do the combiner at all? But then what happens to jazz and his assumed limb mates if they ditch this combiner?

Maybe Inferno isn't meant to be with anyone and he'll be skipped? They skipped BC Prime after all.

Maybe Inferno isn't meant to be with anyone and he'll be skipped? They skipped BC Prime after all.

I suppose that's possible but then who does jazz belong to? It seems unlikely that Hasbro would release an odd number of limbs.

We just know we're getting a Hot Spot repaint as Inferno. Before I thought they were just doing him as filler, but now I'm wondering if they're doing it as a way to get G2 Defensor under a different name. Maybe they'll release G2 Streetwise as Barricade or something.

Elita-1 the Combiner? I figure all the currently rumored femme bots will be a part of her team, but who's the torso??

I'm certainly interested in all three of these Combiners from the pic. I missed out on CW Defensor so whoever that is should be interesting. Same story with G1 Abominus -- this'll be my first incarnation (assuming distribution of them are available locally!).
