It's not a deterrent but it's funny that they're pushing it, even just as a bonus feature.

I do too but I what I think is that since it will just be molded plastic, it will look better and more detailed than the shot they put there which is just dabbed in blue paint.

Since it's not a deterrent and rather easy to ignore, there is only a possibility of gain by showing all the features this toy has. There's always gonna be a fan that goes "but the G1 toy did that, can this toy do this too?" And yes, it can, here's some extra images about it. Plus I think the real goal here is to show how much the shield adds to this, making the stretch goal even more desired than it may have been before.

Finally took the plunge. I had always intended to, it's not just cause it's fully backed now, it's just I needed the motivation to create a Hasbropulse account. They look great, and I'm really looking forward to forgetting how much I had to spend to get them . Total backing as of my purchase was 12,803, still a ways to go before the tiers, so I hope there are some people who are in the same boat as I was and find the motivation before the end of the week.

I imagine that we wont even get three colors on it when the final product hits. We already know Haslab will cheap out on the final product even though they make massive amounts of cash from the preorders.

Since we know *some* 3rd party retailers, and TT Mall backings haven't been included yet, we don't know how much it will account for in the end.

Other than the infamous Cookie Monster that didn't fund at all, were there any other Haslab's that didn't meet all their stretch goals? Unfortunately Hasbro's information on past Haslabs is limited. They don't even want to acknowledge their one failure.
