Okay, I know this is late in the discussion but I need to give my opinions on the SDCC panel:
Nemesis Primal wrote:-Evan mentioned that Menasor's lack of Scramble City compatibility/limbs being dedicated to just Menasor has been well-received and they are keeping that in mind for future potential combiners
Debatable. VERY debatable.
Personally, I wouldn't mind it for a new continuity's iteration of Menasor, or a whole new combiner team (actually, I would prefer that; we need new characters and combination gimmicks), but sacrificing an already-fun gimmick to be more accurate to a design error really doesn't sit well for me.
And I hope this means they'll start making more non-Scramble City combiners (we need a better Liokaiser, Magnaboss and Rail Racer, among others) instead of replacing all Scramble City for "accuracy". How would this scheme even work for stuff like the Aerialbots, Terrorcons or Seacons? Their leaders have nothing to make into a trailer/base!
Nemesis Primal wrote:-No continuity is off the table for Legacy, Cyberverse is an option
...Somehow, I think this doesn't include the most out-there continuities like Robotix or
Hearts of Steel. Still, good to know.
Nemesis Primal wrote:-Legacy Animated figures WILL be G1-ified, HOWEVER the team has also heard the feedback on Arcee/Bulkhead/Knock Out and are working to find a better G1-ification balance
Here's some suggestions:
1) Keep the original alt-mode, unlike what you did with Bulkhead (and no I'M NEVER LETTING THAT GO!!

)
2) Even if you give them G1 boxy design, you can still keep the original's body proportions, unlike Knock Out (not slim enough) and Bulkhead (legs too long, limbs too slim and torso too short)
Honestly,
RoTF Lockdown and 2010 Lugnut are very good examples of how to translate one design to another.
Nemesis Primal wrote:-Minicons are something they're intending to figure out "once they move more fully into Armada"
I wish they'll make a Swindle compatible with
Legacy Starscream, but I kinda expect them not to.
Also hope they bring back the Mini-Con weapon teams; especially if they make a Star Saber that can carry a Matrix in its hilt.
Nemesis Primal wrote:-When asked about a new Cybertron OP & Wing Saber: "it would be totally doable to make a new Wing Saber connect to Siege GUOP" (implying Wing Saber is on the table but Optimus is considered done)

A G1 Optimus with
Cybertron armor does
not count as an update to
Cybertron Optimus. By that logic, we should never get a new version of
RiD2001 Ultra Magnus because we have the
Siege version!
Nemesis Primal wrote:-More Titans from Cybertron are possible albeit daunting due to number (Starscream, Primus, Quickmix, & Menasor all mentioned)
Neat!

Some more suggestions from other continuities:
- IDW-original Titans (I personally would prefer Chela or Vigilem/Carcer)
- Other iconic ships given the Ark treatment (G1 Nemesis, Quintesson cruiser,
BWII Nemesis, Xanthium...)
-
Energon Omega Supreme
-
Aligned Trypticon/Nemesis
- Grand Mal
Nemesis Primal wrote:-Mark and Evan talk about making figures of the 13 Primes "all the time", mentioned The Fallen's tank mode
THANK YOU!!

I always preferred the orignial
Dreamwave's black knight-esque Fallen design over the later iterations anyway. Hope he comes with a lot of blast effects for the flames.
Kinda wonder how they'd make Amalgamous. Maybe a massive Weaponizer-style partformer?
Nemesis Primal wrote:-Evan wants to make Beast Machines Vehicons
Woohoo!

Hope they make some of the Maximals too; I want a Botanica and Noble/Savage!
Nemesis Primal wrote:-Interest in bringing Fan Votes back
...does this mean the old "Make A Character" votes that gave us Windblade and Victorion, or one of the "Choose Which Character We Make Now, And We'll Use The Other Characters Later Anyway" from later years? Because I frankly prefer the first option.
