Can you say "Arcee retool"?

You're getting a free make-over!
We are not amused.
I've got a bad feeling about this.
...even though I used to be a man!

Can you say "Arcee retool"?
I'd say... nope.
I give the odds of this being retooled into Arcee about 1 in 500 or less.
They managed to make an auromobile Arcee for the Animated line, they can make an Automobile Arcee for Generations. And hey, instant repaint into the Paradron Medic!

I really hope not. At this point we've already seen the remolded head though, so I think it's highly unlikely.

This was probably a subtle joke based on the pointy things near Wreck-Gar's shoulders. Maybe.

WFC Soundwave, Megatron and Bumblebee had paint in their eyes, Darkmount´s lightpipe was casted in solid plastic, ROTF breakaway had paint in both sides of the clear plastic...and the list goes on and on...

At least they seem to get better and better moulds, I want that Wreck-gar!!

He would not look right when clear white eyes. The would need to do clear red eyes and even then I do not think it would look completely right.

I noticed that some figures like Wreck Gar here have clear piping. When its clear any painted color on the eyes will be that color when light hits it. So Wreck Gar's eyes will be red when lighted. Others like the WFC dawgs have like purple which doesnt work well... BUT clear on anbother color works perfectly.

The Dude wrote:Hoo! Somebody got his handlebars bent!
Missed that the first time around. Yeah, those handle-bars are all kinds of screwed up. Of course, being a Junkion, there really shouldn't be a straight piece on him but I wouldn't want to be the one to tell that to the guy making the mold. I'd wind up with a block of resin in a very uncomfortable place.

"I wanted a leg up, but this is rediculous. These boots were made for walking... Backwards! Got athlete's foot? Get tough actin' Tenactin!"
I wish the other wheel came off to be used like a shield like the original, but otherwise, looks like he's gonna be kickass. Personally 'references' to a vehicle mode like the design to his head don't bother me. And for a robot thematically made up of junk, the asymetrical leg design actually adds some feeling of such.
PS - Alternates isn't the best choice for comparison, as some figures had 'fake' references to their vehicle modes. Tracks/Battle Ravage's fake cab chest comes to mind off the bat.

Beleive it or not I'm actually serious

I'm thinking purely from a business perspective on Hasbros' part. The re-paint/mold options for W'Gar are quite limited as far as character recognition goes, unless they are going to give Afterburner or even Cy-Kill an earth mode (which I wouldn't object to!).
Hasbro have also been pitching Arcee as a Motorcycle since 2004, with the exception of the lowly distributed, store exclusified Animated version, so this may be the Alternate mode the "masses" can most identify with, especially with DOTM coming. The very nature of the Motorcycle alt-mode, being slimmer, lend itself well to the female form.
It beats a pink repaint of Kup at any rate

What I think I'm trying to say is that it's not as much of a stretch as you might think. How well it would be recieved is another matter entirely!

Yeah, I can just see the fans screaming "CAH NOT MOTOHCYCLE" and boycotting the figure if it actually comes to pass. Smooth move Hasbro

actualy those are some good points there man-makes sense to me.as long as her Robot mode looked a lot(not exactly) like the Arcee we all know then I wouldnt have a problem with it.they have done a great job so far in this respect so I have confidence this can work.

Hah, I'd love to see that just because it sounds HILARIOUS. I imagine it in a Clone High JFK voice.

I would imagine only Jazz and possibly tracks are available so far. I've seen the Jazz, but no word on tracks yet. Luckily I know tracks has the metallic blue paint.
I am really curious about Wreck Gar, Kup, Perceptor, Wheeljack and Scourge. The whiteness of RTS jazz makes me want United WJ as well. Tracks metallic makes me want him in United. Hopefully Kup, wreck gar and scourge can be easy choices to go with RTS. I just wish we had clearer images of them that we could compare

And possibly the planned main retail retool. Possibly.
