that's rediculous that it says that the Marvel license was a profitable choice for hasbro since like 3/4 of all the spider-man sh*t is STILL on the fu*king shelves. I mean, it was just like this with the first 2 movies. Did they learn nothing from Toy Biz? I still see a lot of the Spider-Man 2 stuff on the clearance ailes.

Gee. why would they say that, just because there is an Optimus Prime in every size class, and they all look differnet, and we havn't even hit the repaints yet? Plus EVERY new movie mold basically sucks rocks in robot form.
Not as bad as the movie toys for the last Superman movie. They has at least a dozen SUPERMAN figures, and no one else in the line. It was bar-bending Superman, flying Superman, super-vison Superman, etc. a dozen one-gimmick toys of the same guy!

Um...... yeah.
I agree that the Superman and Marvel movie stuff (aside from the Wal-Mart exclusive Spidey and Venom) just sits there. I also see it happening with the POTC stuff.

At least we aren't going to see transformers on motorcycles. Willis over at Shortpacked! had a very good comic on that.

Well duh, nothings ever funny twice, and Hasbro does the same thing for everybody.
After a while, enough!!!
This stuff is all over, overpriced, and so much of it just has nothing to do with anything, that who would want it?
Pirates is a prime example of this, but unlike Pirates, this crap will eventualy sell.

Agree. I'm already sick of the toys- haven't bought ANY yet, and really want all the stupid spy stuff to go away. They really should have continued classics. That was a line that everyone liked.

Huh, the article basically says that Transformers is the least likely to sufferthis problem, and the movie toys are actually selling rather nicely.
Still, slow news day in Seattle?

I disagree, i think the new movie mold of Bumblebee 2008 Camaro is quite nice...
you forgot to mention the fact that the Mattel toys of Superman looked nothing like him at all.. I still see superman returns toys at the toys R US.. i just thought it was how we roll in VA since they always have old toys and take forever to get the new Junk...
Damn still trying to find the Hot toys Superman returns figure at a cheap price, and the Takara Batman Begins figure is too expensive and impossible to find!!!
Can't stand Marvel....
