New Bumblebee Rescue Bots Academy Toy Sighted

Posted by ZeroWolf Feb 18, 2021 at 6:09pm CST 36,668 views
Greetings Seibertronians! Site owner, Seibertron made a discovery recently on a trip to a Target store in Arlington Heights, Illinois, that of a new Bumblebee figure into the Rescue Bots Academy toyline! The figure was priced at $14.99 and features the simplistic transformation scheme that is the hallmark of the line, being that it is aimed at younger children, just beginning their journey into the franchise.

This Bumblebee comes with an action feature where one of the wheels near his shoulder swings down to act like a saw blade.

What do you think? Would you pick this up for the budding little Transformers fan in your life? Think that Hasbro should revisit some of the Rescue Bot/ Rescue Bot Academy designs in the Generations line?

Shout out in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Rescue Bots is now the longest running show in Transformers history and it is now a mainstay in both preschool programming and preschool toys. However, it's been a while since there was a major restock of new product in the line and Hasbro is going to answer the demand soon. They are rereleasing all their dinosaur related rescue Bot toys under a subline with new decos. The line is called Transformers Rescue Bots: Dinobot Adventures and it coincides with the Dinobot centric line and movie coming from Cyberverse. Below you will find images for Rescan 3-Pack: Predaking, Grimlock, and Snarl, Dinobot Optimus Prime 2-Pack, Dinobot Bumblebee 2-Pack, and the Optimus Prime T-Rex.

The photos were found by the TFW2005 fansite.

He was last seen on good terms with the Autobots back in Predacons Rising.

I really like that this continue the trend of the Rescue Bots coexisting with the Prime/RID characters.

My son's pretty much aged-out of Rescue Bots but these new ones are pretty sweet looking. We may need to pick up that three-pack!

These TF:RB toys are far cooler looking than the Cyberverse gimmick lines that're also aimed for the younger audience.

Optimus and Bumblebee tf from bots to trexes and the other Dinobots tf from bots to dinosaurs but Grimlock transforms from trex to...a motorbike?

*sigh...*

Kids don't care about that kind of thing. Sometimes I think we as adult collectors over-care about it :-?

And many kids don't care if the toys were bricks, but here we are, with articulated toys.

Rescue Bot toys are articulated?
My comment was more on the idea that characters had to be a certain way etc... No one should care that grimlock turns into a bike, it's fun.

When we revealed the upcoming Rescue Bots products coming our way, many thought it would be smart to rerelease the small Rescue Bots dino figures as Dinobot redecos. It works well since the main Rescue Bot characters had been given the same alt modes as the G1 Dinobots. So now we have Snarl, Sludge, Slug and Swoop to join Grimlock who was already part of Rescue Bots. These are older molds but they are perfect for younger kids. Each transforms quickly but satisfyingly for kids and each has a fun action feature, like Swoop flapping his wings. These are a great way to give your young kids some G1 Dinobots that they can play with and have fun with, I know my 3 year old loves them. We also have more stock images for the other upcoming toys part of this Dinobots Adventures subline.

These images come from Autobase Aichi.

They really should have saved one of those Optimus repaints/repacks for Grimlock. It's weird that they all turn into bots except for him. Or better yet, make a new one.

I remember you saying that and it only got stranger as they added more Dinobots.

Poor Grimlock.

Again, I don't think the target audience are going to give a flying monkey. These are meant for young children...not us. Besides which, I think I might see why there isn't a grimlock OK his own (unless he's getting a new toy that isn't ready for release yet) look at Bumblebee's trex mode and it's colours...don't they look familiar? Hasbro won't want too similar looking toys on the shelf, especially the same alt mode. Now you might ask, but why bee over Grimlock I hear you ask? Because kids love Bumblebee, it's that simple.

Bumblebee is a raptor, not a T-Rex.
