So it appears that Hun-Grrr's new tooling enables his semi-mythical base-mode. Yeah, I'll probably be buying Abominus Reduxus, but PotP Hun-Grrr is still in that category of Prime Wars components I wish some 3rd party would just do a full-on replacement for, like Mixmaster and Afterburner. Only then might Abominus's legs possibly surpass the glory of his G1 toy's articulation and stability...maybe.
As for Spike's death, he it was better executed than in Marvel G2 #2, so no complaints from me.

The PotP one can do the same thing, just tried it. He does have a tooling change that isn't visible: the holder for the Terrorcon Enigma has been replaced with a flat plate for the Terror Breaster to attach (which possibly came from Turtler like his gun did).

Forgive me. But, did Earthrise Megatron just suddenly become Ultra Megatron Omega? Maybe I'm missing something. I didn't see Megs transition between those 2 forms.

First we see him using his big sword to draw out the energy from the Terrorcons and into himself. Then the Terrorcons call for the Terror Breastar so they can combine into Abominus. When it first attaches to Hun-Gurrr, Megatron is down on the ground glowing in a bright aura surrounding his black silhouette. The Terrorcons then combine with Hun-Gurrr to form Abominus, but right as they do so, Megatron unveils his new form, having likewise just completed his own metamorphosis.

Yep. He absorbed a large amount of the Terrorcons' Angolmois Energy into himself, turning himself into Megatron Omega: Perfect Form.thedistinctroom wrote:Forgive me. Ahh!! Now I understand what happened. Thanks for clearing that up, Sabrblade!
"Megatron Omega: Perfect Form". Quite a name. Shame it was short lived.

Not entirely. Previous chapters hinted that there's more to come for that Perfect Form, with the chapter that first showed it declaring it to be the form that drove humanity off of Earth, completely.thedistinctroom wrote:"Megatron Omega: Perfect Form". Quite a name. Shame it was short lived.

Another Abominus comic - https://takaratomymall.jp/img/goods/4904810172086/comics_second.pdf
The dying Spike gets his mind put into a new version of Autobot X called "Neo Autobot X" (well, "Neo Cybertron X" in the Japanese text) that's made of Weaponizer/Powerdasher/Modulator parts.
Rodimus Unicronus, Netflix Mirage, Netflix Scrapface, and Selects SG Ratchet are repurposed as evil forms of Hot Rod, Mirage, Reflector, and Ratchet corrupted by Angolmois Energy.
Siege Raindance and Grand Slam also appear.
Computron, Superion, and Defensor share limbs to form Comperian. In response, Abominus forces Bruticus and Menasor to share their limbs with him to form Abomenaticus.
Though, Blast Off looks more like the Hasbro Amazon version of the mold instead of the Takara Unite Warriors version, being dark brown instead of bronze.
G2 Dreadwing is now in his Thrilling 30 toy body, while Smokescreen is in his Earthrise toy body.
Jan and Illumina from Victory are all grown up, married, and have a kid of their own.
Megatron Omega goes critical and blasts Optimus dead, making his look like his Amazon-exclusive Alternate Universe toy. But his Reconfiguration Matrix brings him back to life rather quickly. So his brief death was just another excuse to get another toy into the story.
Abominus has a new energy beam attack fired from his tummy called "Angolmois Terror Storm".
Megatron Omega absorbs all of the Angolmois Energy from said attack and grows giant sized. Like, bigger than Titan class sized.
The name of Volcanicus's sword "Magma Blade" is misspelled as "Magna Blade".
Abominus decapitates Megatron Omega with his Terror Breaster, using an attack called "Angolmois Terror Cutter". But, Megatron just puts is head right back on like no problem.
On Planet Zone, Dai Atlas and the Powered Masters are met through a Warp Hole by Primus, the Golden Lagoon toys, the 2002 e-HOBBY Meister Gold Version toy (for Jazz), and the mysterious Mutant Beast Wars Soundwave that first appeared in the e-HOBBY Convobat and Magna Convoy manga as a redeco of Titans Return Mindwipe with Titan Master Nightbeat as his head.
Of note, Primus looks different in this than he did before. In previous chapters, he looked like the normal G1 Rodimus Prime design with a toy-accurate trailer (kinda like MP-9). But here, his design is slimmer, sleaker, and sharper, with more pronounced shoulders. Could this be our first glimpse at Kingdom's upcoming Commander class Rodimus Prime design?
EDIT: According to this TFW post, the reason Primus looks so different in that last panel of the final page is not because of his design hinting at the Kingdom toy for Rodimus, but simply because he (and no one else in that panel) was drawn specifically by Ban Magami instead of Hayato Sakamoto. So, false alarm on the toy-hinting.

I don't know who to feel more sorry for: the Quintesson, or the way Rung was used (it's even called out as Energon Enema)

Golden Lagoon squad reporting in. All of those have been released previously except for Rodimus, Jazz, and Mindwipe (??). I'd for sure take a gold PotP Jazz as I need one more autobot to complete my Inferno combiner, not sure about the rest though.

Anyway, very nice to see Comperian and Abomenaticus in fiction, finally. Volcaticon (Volcanicus + Computron) does raise an interesting question: is Scattershot's combination ability superior to others of his kind? I mean, how many combined form names does he have?!

Oh yes this is Glorious!. My Siege Rung was just a normal Battlemaster (since I never was a fan of the whole Primus thing in IDW), so Thank you TT, you never let me down. My Rung now has a purpose!
