New Image Of Masterpiece Skids, And Reveal Of Red Redeco

The Red one looks like a GT-R Convoy variant.

Should have made the repaint white and blue with a new head and called it MP Armada Red Alert.

I'll pick him up regardless, but shouldn't Skids' thighs be silver? None of his toys nor any media has him with completely blue legs like this.

I also don't see any logo (except Honda) on "Reboost"....I wonder if she/he will possibly be branded a Decepticon?

Mudflap has been homaged with a G1 Skids redeco (technically the Crosscut version of the mold) (https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Screech_(Generations)), but that deco was distinct from the Diaclone one being homaged here. That being said, Mudflap could be a viable name for the upcoming figure, as I don't think it's been done as a TF before. Although the vehicle mode wouldn't have any mudflaps. Not that that's stopped the name being used in the past.

Clarity from a Japanese speaker: The redeco's name is indeed Reboost.

The Marvel comics also made him a Minivan rather than a subcompact car, which this toy is. Eh.

Pre-orders are launching now in Japan at a tax inclusive MSRP of 10,780JPY (about $98.50USD), however, Japanese pricing being as it is, retail discounts like those offered by AmiAmi for Skids and Reboost, could be as low as 7,540JPY or only $69 each at the current exchange rate! We've rarely seen new MP prices that low on new figures!

And while Skids is certainly a value at that price while including his two guns, don't wright off Reboost and his enticing pack of accessories including three weapons, a clear holomatter driver and a "Component X" Honda Motocompo compact scooter that can fit in the back of his Honda City alt mode just like the original Diaclone! If you didn't care about Reboost before this attention to detail might change your mind.

I can only go for one so I'm going for Skids and I'm waiting on Amazon Japan to put pre-orders up. These look ok, so I hope they're not fiddly or have small, cheap plastic panels, like the last few MPs.

Doesn't look like it'll be any more complex than any other car, especially the pre-Sunstreaker molds. Looks to be on-par with the Datsuns and I think that was the goal.
