The Titans Return Scourge looks good, but I'll probably wait till this one is on sale. The Generations Deluxe Scourge still rocks it.

Agreed, same here! The good news for me is that through fun TRU Canada policies, TR Scourge will be 30% off for me the day he arrives in stores!

Gone Takara. My mate can get me one for pretty much Hasbro price, and that deco is far, far superior. Not because it's G1, but because it's not monochrome to the point it looks like an unfinished prototype (like Hasbro Blurr does aswell).
Also, his gun becomes a flight stand? Pretty cool. I did not know about that feature.

That's not the gun, it's the front of his legs, they just sit underneath him and prop him up like the runners on a helicopter.

Glad I've pre-ordered Takara's version. It's better than the Hasbro one. Not as huge an improvement as Blurr but still an improvement.

Someone on TFW did a really interesting comparison between highbrow and scourge to show the parts they share. This obviously doesnt make them retools as their transformation is totally different but it does show that Hasbro is finding a way of reusing resources without making everything the same mold, which I think is great and I have no problem with.

That's cool. It's not noticeable in the way that head retools are and if anyone's complaining about them sharing hands and shoulders I don't know what to think.

Titans TT Dev had the visor + optic gimmick incorporated into him. Could it be possible for Fortress to have both HM and RB version head included?

You would need two versions of Spike for that. Those Titan masters are simply not large enough for any kind of face swapping gimmick. Unless it's a straight rip his face plate off ala MP style. But They might be too fragile for that, I don't know. But since Takara never got Rebirth, I'd say it's safe to assume they are just gonna do the Fortress head for the 'Cerebros' robot stage, unlike Devastator where the Takara series got him swapping around eyes/visor.

Thing with Devastator is that he switched around his face from episode to episode, sometimes even from scene to scene - no matter which country you're in, it's hard to decide which one's "correct".
Fortress meanwhile kept his Headmasters-given face throughout the entirety of the series.

Now this route would be best. 2 heads are better than one or in this case, "3" heads.

Wouldn't that look a little strange, though? Takara Tomy's Fortress will most likely be gray and white like the original figure while Rebirth Cerebros was black and white with some gray. I'd just as well they left the Fortress head and ignore the Cerebros one.
I can't be the only one that wants a Marvel Comics Fortress Maximus head with the red lenses over his eyes, right?
