Yeah, this is bizarre. And I am so for it! Nice to see Broadside comes with Repugnus and a non-transparent gun. Misfire looks as fine as his Hasbro counterpart and I think I prefer Hasbro's Sixshot

I think I may try to get that Misfire. It looks really good.

Yup, helmet's new. Hasbro's doesn't have the... cheekguards(?) going as inwards as Takara's, and the jutting-out forehead is smaller.

Yeah I jumped over and ordered him right after seeing his look. I'll be grabbing the Hasbro one for the time being and to support but I like the way misfire looks.

Sixshot though...nah. I had tha G1 as a kid and the Hasbro one is just fine. He's everything I wanted and is perfect to me. Plus I shelled the $15 for the Dr Wu kit for the gun fillers swords and new helmet and honestly I think Wu's helmet looks best out of all three.

Some sights are reporting as it's going on that Cab and Minerva will only be released in a god Ginrai set. It will be a two back with Legends super Ginrai and God Bomber and include Cad and Minerva

I'm a little surprised they didn't retool Broadside to have a better jet mode.

Who knows maybe we'll get them from Hasbro. 2 more sets to go and if we get more waves of Titan masters it could happen. Takara has been sharing a lot in the last couples years whenever they do their own thing.

Cab is obviously hosehead and Minerva is...Minerva. Sure why not

Either i'm not sure of the Carrier mode Either, if they're putting an "86" on the carrier's number, i'm not sure if i'm interested or something

If Cab and Minerva are only available in a God Ginrai boxed set, I'm hoping it's a chromed and painted up to the eyeballs special edition of that figure and/or a "Fire Guts" repaint. Then I wouldn't feel completely shafted.

Might be able to convince me to buy these again for a Fire Guts repaint. However I have a fear that this is a potential exclusive, probably TRU or Takara Tomy Mall. Might be cheaper to get from TFSource or BBTS.

I dont see the fuss over any of these. They all look like blander versions of the Hasbro toys. I dont see how that misfire is so different, for instance, when it comes to the bot itself.

And why is Doublecross a Targetmaster? Unless all 8 guns have been made and they need to be assigned somehow... To be clear, I'm referring to the 6 standard ones, Pinpointer/Pointech, Spoilsport/Spoil, Peacemaker/Peaceman, Blowpipe, Aimless and Caliburst, plus Nightstick/Nebulon and Fracas/Nightstick.

The Targetmaster partners are the selling points for me, though I think Misfire's colors look much better than what we've seen of Hasbro's. The pink looks darker and the head is colored properly (not pink or whatever the CG art color is). Plus red visors look better on Decepticons. But yeah, the partners are the big selling points.

I'm passing on Doublecross even if he does have a Targetmaster partner now, too, and Broadside isn't different enough for me to care about. Back when that reissued G1 Sixshot with the extra chrome was released I didn't see the appeal and again I'm not seeing the appeal of adding silver paint to Legends Sixshot. Just seems unnecessary and the helmet change is minor so he's a pass in favor of Hasbro's.

So you think they're including Scourge and Blurr's partners with other characters? Neat if it's true, but sucks for Doublecross since he seemingly doesn't come with any other weapons.

I already feel completely shafted.

My pre-ordered God bomber is not even in my hands yet, so far we've had damning reviews of it's fragility, poor-balancing, loose joints, off-looking proportions.

And now as a reward for being an early adopter, I get Takara releasing both Super Ginrai and Godbomber as a single set, apparently completely unchanged from the official pics T-Formers posted (which reuse the original stock photos). Containing 2 figures that I absolutely *must* have as a bonus. So I have to buy the same set of identical figures again just to get those? Then try and sell a pair of figures that people either hate or sort-of like.

Nah, not for me . I won't bite. I'll wait, cross my fingers and pray for a western release of Cab/Hosehead and Minerva. Even though there's only Wave 6 left to be revealed in Titans Return.

Also, seems really odd that they're releasing repugnus packed in with one figure, and his titan master body thing with broadside. It looks like he's holding a hasbro version here. Buy both to complete the set? Weird decision.

The remoulding on sixshots helmet does wonders for him. But twinferno.....doublecross......oh my. That is not good on a kids toy. Guns always go on he back of beasts. Always.

Stil don't get why Sixshot is popular. He's a really boring design. Twinferno/Doublecross looks bleh as usual.

Misfire looks good. I always did like his altmode the best out of his group though will admit Triggerhappy's titans toy ship mode looks much better than his original g1 figure whereas Misfire's G1 toy ship mode already looked great.

In other Takara Tomy Transformers Legends News, but still following up on the Tokyo Toy Show, we have some official and two showfloor images of the LG-EX God Ginrai set featuring Headmasters Cab and Minerva (as first seen here)!

The set will include the two Headmasters, plus LG-35 Super Ginrai (Powermaster Prime) and LG-42 Godbomber all in one go, and exclusively carried by TakaraTomyMall - which is the source of the official images mirrored below. The price of this set is ￥17,280, which is close to $155 USD and only Japanese residents can order this figure, for now. Check out the photos below!

Broadside is an easy pass since he doesn't seem much different from the Hasbro one

Misfire and Doublecross are definite buys if only for the little target master friends.

I'm really unsure about Sixshot. I like my Hasbro one now that it has the reprolabels on it, but I like the overall colors more of the Takara version and the remolded helmet and face look really nice and would make him further distinct from Quickswitch.

The God Ginrai set annoys me because I really don't want to spend upwards of $150 for just two headmasters. But on the other hand with the prices Ginrai is going for in the after market I could probably make back what I paid for it Decisions, decisions.

I'm mostly just mad at myself.... I had a feeling they'd do a boxset and mock it up just like the original re-issue.... But has price been confirmed on it? I'd still expect it to be north of $200....

But chrome thighs and the chest plate would be interesting. Curious about the alleged transparent windows on Ginrai's cab.

Already asked this before and got answers, but just to be certain -- can Sixshot transform into each of his modes without detaching the Titan Master from the port?

And -- do the three new Decepticon jets share the same transformation more or less?

Yes to the Sixshot question. Except for robot mode, his head(master) never needs to be folded out of the chest cavity. The instructions for the wolf mold have you combine the Headmaster with the beast mode head, but it's not necessary.

As to your second question.... I'm not sure. Besides the heads, it would seem only the nose and wings are retooled. But from these pictures, Misfire's jet nose is pointing up, and Triggerhappy's points down. So they may not transform exactly alike.

So Minerva is going to remain without a body, and only available with a big expensive giftset? Bugger. Still, I do think the set looks cool, and providing I can sort out some replacement forearms and a neck adapter I might be able to make my old Animated Arcee into a body for her. So I might spring for this, we'll see.

If not I'll have to hone my 3D skills and make a replacement face for a Nightbeat to print on Shapeways (I know there is an existing one on there but it looks a bit...off).

For anyone who doesn't understand or like a double cross coming out and with a target master here your two solutions:

1. Don't buy it.

2. Buy it, take that targetmaster away from him and hand it to Blur

As a character people loved him in Headmasters. Meanwhile, I loved him in early IDW

Why does Minerva seem to have this "for Elitist only" status to every figure she gets. Its like she isnt allowed to have a figure anyone can get there hands on easily

Probably because she's a highly desirable character (and her only non-exclusive toy is ridiculously rare) and HasTak reckons they can make an absolute killing via the people that will pay for her regardless of how much she costs because they want a Minerva THAT much.

I've been toying with the idea of making bodies for these three, since I have Shuta from Legends Wheelie. Just need to get the transtectors...

Toyhax has a Reprolabels set to turn the Getaway toy into Siren, the Hasbro version of Shuta.

Indeed. That's what set me off on this train of thought. But I think Breakaway would work better for Minerva. A more feminine chest (if you ignore the backpack part) and the high shoulder pads. And the car mode matches more. There's a neck adaptor on shapeways to turn generations nightbeat into a headmaster, that would work well for Shuta (as that exclusive repaint did) and CW Hotspot into Cab (there is also a neck adaptor on shapeways for that piece). Plonk these heads on them and boom. Perfect.

Probably be the same reason Hot Rod and Blur and Kup are. Went to planet micro, ended up in the Legends universe got a transtector and teamed up with a targetmaster

I still think he can be saved. A liiiiiitle remolding in the boots, Add proper rotators in the thighs so the legs can swivel all the way around, and in jet mode they flip over to the top of the jet like Jetfire boosters (point the feet forward)

To me the biggest crime is the positioning of the wings. They're placed right on the bottom of the jet; if they were up higher - perhaps on level with the cockpit - it would help so much.



Also, to me this is the best Kup has looked so far.



Those shapes and proportions are dead-on. If it weren't for the hollowness of that arm and the headmaster pieces showing, I could have mistaken this for an MP Kup. Mold is perfect.
