Yeah looks like Hasbro finally realised that it doesn't matter what colour a turd is, it's still a turd.
So add a fancy looking accessory to distract the buyer from the turdliness.

I knew that torso piece wouldn´t come down.

Could be the plan, and though sometimes purchases are based on accessories (how many do you think are going to buy the Platinum Ultra Magnus for the Forge of Solus Prime?) it isn't always enough. Honestly though, from the pic I don't think he looks that bad. Regardless, the shield is still pretty cool.
