Here's a quick update to the Toys R Us SDCC exclusives situation that has transpired in the past 24 hours with Masterpiece Soundwave and Acid Storm. I just received the following message from Toys R Us, which mentions their contractual obligations to the manufacturer. I'm assuming this is referring the fact that these toys all have a July 18th, 2013 "street date" to coincide with SDCC. While many of customers might be upset, it is important to keep in mind that mistakes happen. The toys are scheduled to be released next Thursday at San Diego Comic Con, on ToysRUs.com and apparently they will be available in stores as well.

I find it funny how at first they told me they canceled due to being out of stock in their wearhouse...

Nothing weird/funny about it. They are contractually obligated to release him on July 18th (one week from this Thursday) and cannot do so before then. And due to that street date, they do not have any in stock. It's not in the stores, warehouses or distribution centers. It's still in transit and locked away. I've confirmed this myself, several times. It won't be released to them until the night before (the 17th) or the morning of (the 18th). They were honest in what they told you.

Has anyone got a charge back on their card? After the order and the refund i got charged today again? TRU was no help because they cannot view orders because their system is down.

This is retarded. Poor customer service to make the same people go back on line and re-order the same s**t. It's a god damn mass release, not some super special exclusive that needs a special release date. So who cares ? Somebody grab a TRU corporate guy and smack him across the face with wet towel :BANG_HEAD:

I just called my local true and they said they don't have any and won't unless it comes as a special delivery tommorow. I hope the link goes back up soon. :-( I was really hoping to just go pick one up And not wait for shipping.

I believe those are when they begin to be available online. As for in-store, impossible to say.

Well, I have 12:01 a.m. EST, and it isn't on the website yet... So I suppose we can discount midnight. :p
