New Trademark Applications from Hasbro

Posted by i_amtrunks Apr 30, 2008 at 11:49pm CDT 24,091 views
It seems that Hasbro is going on a Trademark application binge, with over a dozen new Transformers related trademark applications being submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

There are a few nice surprises in the list:

Autobot Camshaft
Autobot Wheelie
Autobot Blades
Autobot Cosmos
Decepticon Bludgeon
Decepticon Heavy Load
Scrapper
Mudflap
Brawn
Oilslick
Mixmaster
Blitzwing
Lugnut
Warpath

It is not yet known for what series, figures, these names will be used in, or if each name will only be used in one series at a time, but what is known is that should these applications been granted, it means good things for Transformers fans!

To check out the original post that found these applications, please click here.

Could Decepticon Bludgeon be a Cybertron Unicron repaint?

Are they all new or are some (like Mudflap) renewals.

Bit hard to tell with busted links. ;;)

I hope either that or a new mold.

I noticed! I noticed!

First one I really did notice, near the top like that...
:APPLAUSE:

Hey if it's a better mold then the minibot, I'll be happy.

Cosmos, Brawn and Bludgeon, I can hardly wait to see what they have in store for those three. :-?

I was thinking about name trademarks last night and was hoping to see "Decepticon MotorMaster" or something like that.

But those will do nicely.

Here's hoping Camshaft gets his own mold. I do have a sneaking feeling that it might be the Aveo mold though.

I'm really hoping that the Cosmos is an original mold. For being one of the more unique Transformers (there's plenty of space craft- but how many flying saucers? :P) it'd be an absolute shame if he didn't get his own mold.

Warpath was at Botcon. He's a repaint of minicon Broadside, from Classics. Not a bad mold for him, though I'd have liked something deluxe sized.

Corrent me if I'm wrong but wasn't there a prototype of a 6 inch Titanium Cosmos that was planned before the Titaniums were scrapped?

Here´s hoping for Cosmos to be the titanium mold, but not done by the no-skills titanium team but just by the TF team.
Brawn was shown at botcon to be a new LOC mold but was shown during the part were no pics were allowed.

I know it's probably not likely but it'd be cool if they'd done a deal with the Jizaitoys people to bring their Wheelie to a wider audience.

Cosmos is definitely the unreleased classics figure since Hasbro said they were looking into it at Botcon.

If they are re-releasing the original blue Cybertron Mudflap, under the Universe name, I would so rather have that than the Movie repaint coming out at the end of the month.

Hm... can anyone say Constructicons?

I would love to see a new mold for Mixmaster(he's always been my favorite Constructicon)!

Scrapper and Mixmaster are from Animated. Heavy Load is the repaint of Cybertron Quick Mix from Universe.

More likely its for the Yellow universe repaint name is still Mudflpap for that one. I guess Erector was too PG for them.

As for the other trademarks, if I did not know any better I'd say They are going to be for Hasbro's 25th Anniversarry line.

I can see it now, a 25th Anniversary Wheelie.

I can't wait to see the Animated Constructicons, even though I know they won't look very G1-ish...

And as far as I'm concerned, Dump Load will never be a Constructicon.
That thing is a mess.
