Skythread:
Skytread is double the trouble on the battlefield. This Decepticon has a knack for playing bait, setting the ultimate trap, and reeling in the enemy. He prefers to divide and conquer (literally). When Skytread teams up with other bots, he gives them the ability to create a clone decoy of themselves.
Clobber:
Clobber would rather handle things with his thundering fists than with a blaster or an Energon sword. Clobber often boasts of his legendary strength, “Clobber no need weapon, Clobber already have two.” When Clobber teams up with other bots, he gives them super strength.
Brawn:
Brawn wouldn’t want any bot mistaking his small size for an easy target. The Autobot boldly welcomes any and all challenges, even if that challenge is a Decepticon 10 times his size. His overconfident attitude sometimes lands him in trouble he has to fight his way out of, but that’s just the way Brawn likes it. When Brawn teams up with other bots he enhances their armor making them virtually indestructible.
Apeface:
The menacing shadow of Apeface is enough to make other bots scatter. The Decepticon believes intimidation is the best weapon. He's loud, obnoxious, and strikes fear into the sparks of other bots through his bloodcurdling growls. When Apeface teams up with other bots, he gives them the ability to mass shift and grow in size.
Loudmouth:
Loudmouth speaks at full blast. The Autobot is louder than everyone, and his audio-processor-shattering volume never stops. This can be intimidating to enemies in battle, even if it's constantly blowing his allies' cover. When Loudmouth unites with other bots, he gives them the ability to disable enemy systems with a Circuit Shock Disruptor.
Terri-Bull:
Terri-Bull is a filthy slob. The Decepticon is one of the most vile bots there is, and he's proud of it. Even though he stinks, leaks fluids, and can't be bothered to clean his armor, other bots know not to call him on it. His mean streak is as nasty as his smell. When Terri-Bull unites with other bots, he gives them the ability to attack other bots with a corrosive rust cloud.
Nightbeat:
Nightbeat can sleuth out the truth behind any mystery. He's a relentless detective who's not afraid to chase clues wherever they lead, even if it means getting himself into trouble with enemies much bigger and stronger than he is. When Nightbeat unites with other bots, he gives them exceptional tracking ability.
Crashbash:
Crashbash is a one-bot wrecking crew. He barrels through anything that stands in his way with thundering brute force. When Crashbash unites with other bots, he gives them the ability to harness unstoppable berserker rage.
Rumble:
Decepticon Rumble is part of a team of Decepticon spies led by Soundwave. A demolitions expert who often speaks in rhyme, Decepticon Rumble is a trash-talking, Autobot-stalking brawler. Though he's small in size, he's capable of bringing down huge targets by transmitting low-frequency ground waves that create powerful earthquakes.
Ravage:
Decepticon Ravage is part of a team of Decepticon spies led by Soundwave. A loyal and dedicated operative, he is ruthlessly effective at getting the data he needs. Hidden in the shadows, he silently tracks his prey and strikes with ferocious force when the Autobots least expect it.
Laserbeak:
Laserbeak is part of a team of Decepticon spies led by Soundwave. Laserbeak is a tracker who excels at hunting down enemy targets. Hes also a fearsome interrogator who persuades captured Autobots to spill their secrets by threatening them with his laser cannons.
Stripes:
Autobot Stripes is a tactical recon expert who works for Autobot Blaster. He was created by the Autobots to counter the Decepticon spy Soundwave and his team. Autobot Stripes is trained in stealth tactics, but he's ferocious enough to fight his way out of trouble if the Decepticons detect his energy signature.
Rewind:
Autobot Rewind was created by the Autobots to counter the Decepticon spy Soundwave and his team. His vast databanks allow him to capture almost any datapoint his sensors pick up. He stores seemingly endless amounts of information, which makes him perfect for surveillance operations.
Wheelie:
Autobot Wheelie is small, and if you heard him talk, you wouldn't think he would last very long in battle. But the Decepticons haven't managed to deactivate him yet. In fact, he's taken out a few Decepticons himself. The Autobot has mastered the skills to survive any situation on or off the battlefield. The other thing he does better than any bot is rhyme. In fact, he does it all the time. It makes other Autobots groan. And that's why Autobot Wheelie spends so much time alone.
Highbrow:
Highbrow knows all the answers but usually can’t be bothered to explain them in ways other bots can actually understand. He's one of the most intelligent Autobots, and a master of predicting what the Decepticons will do next. The gravity disruptors of Xort give Highbrow the power to manipulate gravitational fields.
Mindwipe:
Mindwipe and Vorath can destroy an Autobot target without ever picking up a blaster. The Decepticon hypnotist and his Titan Master partner manipulate other bots to carry out their sinister plans. Mindwipe starts by casting his hypnotic spell, and then Vorath takes full control over other bots' central processors, turning them into servants that do their bidding.
Hardhead:
Titan Master Furos might be the only bot who craves battle more than Hardhead. That makes him the perfect partner for the combat-driven Autobot. Just don't get them started on whose fireblast took down that Decepticon. Furos gives Hardhead a regenerative healing power that instantly repairs armor and systems damage in battle.
Blurr:
Blurr is one of the fastest known Autobots. When Blurr unites with Hyperfire, it boosts his already incredible speed even further, making him fast enough to outrun blaster fire.
Skullsmasher:
Skullsmasher has an endless appetite for combat, and for Autobots! He doesn't need blasters or other weapons -- he'd rather defeat his enemies by devouring them. He isn't the quietest Decepticon, which can make catching his targets harder. Titan Master Grax makes Skullsmasher invisible to the Autobots by masking his energy signature. When they team up, it's time to chow down.
Chromedome:
If anyone can produce an Autobot super soldier, it's Chromedome. The computer scientist can reprogram a bot’s systems to make them function at beyond-peak performance. Autobot Stylor gives Chromedome a rare programming tool: the power of mnemosurgery, the ability to access and edit another bot's memories.
Wolfwire:
A cruel and vicious Decepticon Wolfwire is. Talk in backward sentences he does. His Titan Master partner has a similar knack for reversals. The Titan Master Monxo gives Wolfwire the power to rewind time in short bursts, but it drains his energy to dangerously low levels.
Scourge:
Scourge is a tracker unrivaled in his ability. The Decepticon is one of the universe's most powerful bots, and those he pursues inevitably meet with an unfortunate end. Titan Master Fracas can steal the powers of other bots, letting Scourge harness whatever ability suits his sinister plans.
Alpha Trion:
An ancient and wise warrior, Alpha Trion possesses immense knowledge. He has spent centuries helping to lead the Autobots. When he does pick up his sword and join them on the battlefield, he attacks with the skill of a true master. His Titan Master partner, Autobot Sovereign, carries the energy of Primus, giving any bot he unites with immeasurable power. Alpha Trion is one of the few bots who can harness that power without risking a systems overload.
Astrotrain:
Astrotrain is a master at keeping his enemies guessing. He uses his Triple Changer ability to spread confusion. He shifts so rapidly between modes the Autobots can't tell if they're being attacked by one Decepticon or three. The Titan Master Darkmoon gives Astrotrain an even greater advantage: he has a cloaking mode that makes Astrotrain undetectable to Autobot sensors.
Galvatron:
Galvatron will risk anything for conquest, including uniting with Nucleon. Nucleon is fueled by an unstable energy source. He brings increased strength and unpredictable powers, but can damage bots he links with beyond repair. If Galvatron can successfully harness the power of Nucleon, he'll gain an overwhelmingly powerful universal systems upgrade.
Sentinel Prime:
Sentinel Prime has returned. One of the most powerful warriors who has ever lived, the former Autobot leader looks to impose his will on a universe that sits on the edge of full-blown war. The Titan Master Autobot Infinitus gives Sentinel Prime temporary invincibility by shielding him with a forcefield. This Titans Return Voyager Class Autobot Sentinel Prime figure comes with a Titan Master Autobot Infinitus figure.
Powermaster Optimus Prime:
Optimus Prime will stand against any threat. Autobot Apex helps him face enemies that even the Autobot Commander cannot face alone. The Titan Master carries a portion of the spark, and power, of Optimus Prime, increasing the legendary warrior's already immense ability. With that boost to his systems, he charges into battle as Powermaster Optimus Prime.
Blaster:
Autobot Blaster is a master of stealing enemy signals and classified data. To decode encrypted Decepticon transmissions, Autobot Blaster links with his Titan Master partner, Twin Cast. Twin Cast is a walking cipher — a bot with the most advanced cryptography programming in the universe.
Soundwave:
Soundwave is the most feared signal-stealer in the universe, and his Titan Master partner Soundblaster is a master of cyber infiltration. He drops a backdoor code into the systems of any bot he unites with, giving Soundwave a way in. With that access, Soundwave can raid any bot's processors -- completely undetected -- and steals a constant stream of information.

But we dont need new uses of these molds. Look at the AOE dinobots, none of them were used for different characters and the only redecos were exclusives. Same could be said for Gen Voyager Brainstorm, Rhinox, Rattrap, Skybyte, Roadbuster Whirl, and that Gen Minicon team among many others.

Most fans are speculating 2018 Omega Supreme & 2019 Scorponok (or vice versa) either way is fine.

Exactly. it is my sincere hope that whatever is coming down the line for late 2017, it should be a whole new wave of Legends, Deluxes & Voyagers. New Beasts and new vehicles to represent the classic combiners that have not yet been released, along with some new ones. Whatever they call the line, as long as they are compatible with 2015/2016 CW/UW I am good.

I'm just realising that this is, essentially, swapping out different faces which according to fiction gives you different powers. Guess Bionicle isn't as cancelled as I thought.

---------
Anyway complaints aside a few thoughts about the Bios -
How is Fracas supposed to steal other bots powers if the powers are more often than not in the head not the bot - if he hijacks someones body that would be modestly useful - but leave scourge headless.
Odd that.
------
It's a amusing conincidence that this just showed up as I just had to look up the name of the Dalmation that comes with a Rescue Bot Playset as they didn't actually put it's name on the packet (it's Fire-Plug incidentally) and i'm wondering if he's actually compatible with next years RID line as he seems to have the same sort of long post on him - I wonder... anway back on topic...
--------
Sovereign contains the power of Primus - but isn't Primus so... two thoughts
Is he Over-Run or is he Prima reincarnated ? or just some sort of Robot Jesus like figure - conceptually speaking.
-----
I guess a robot that is Nucleon Powered but immune to system lock and can pass power on Mini-Con like to others with only some side effects not all - has some merit.
It also might explain what is going on with Megs being the upgrade/ or downgrade perhaps from Galvatron if they happen to be the same guy (which they might not be).
------
Apex seems to read very like either Hi Q or even the elements that lead to Ape Linq or Primal Prime to me. especially as the name apex contains "Ape" or Ape-X if you will - Optimus Primal's spark perhaps ?
What with Primal holding Optimus' spark for a while the affinity and the reason for him to maintain a sliver of him would even make some story sense.
But then the same is true I guess if you think "Apex Armour" i.e. 'God Bomber' too.. a lot of options there for sure to explain Apex in all kinds of interesting ways.
------
Soundwave's Bio seems to say don't go borrowing someone else's head without permission - I guess The larger bots are where the gimmick idea actually can work as the Helmet means the still look mostly like who they are supposed too - no matter the head they wear.

I'm guessing he "copies" the powers of any given Titan Master he faces. Kinda like Pokemon's Ditto, HAL's Kirby, or Capcom's Mega Man

Sovereign is based on BotCon 2007 Beta Maxx (a redeco of Safeguard, Vector Prime's partner), and it seems not just in design. His bio says he can serve as a key to Vector Sigma, which is linked to Primus himself. Also of note is that all Sovereign's stat boosts are "Infinity".

Just because he's called "Nucleon" doesn't mean he's powered by it. Think of him as a Nucleon substitute

Apex is named after the Apex Armor, but the character has more in common with Hi-Q, specifically the Marvel comics version. In the end, he and Optimus Prime's mind melded together as one, which allowed the latter to survive after the Powermaster body was destroyed, but the Hi-Q one was left intact.
And the Ape-X pun is reserved for Legends Convobat's Ape-X Arms drone.

That would make a great retcon for the potential TFLegends version. Like a reverse to Tank Megatron having a mini Megs within him.

Nucleon: unpredictable powers. Does this mean he can have ANY power the plot needs Galvatron to have? It really sounds that way to me.
Furos: INSTANTANEOUS healing. Does that mean that Hardhead is the Cybertron's version of Deadpool? That's crazy!
Sentinel Prime: can IMPOSE his will on the Universe if he so chooses. Does this mean he can... warp reality? Because, what else would that mean?
Infinitus: temporary INVINCIBILITY. So Sentinel Prime can go GOD-MODE? And how temporary? 6 months is also temporary!
And Sovereign... infinite stats. Not even a Titan has that!
Good lord.

I'm pretty sure everybody who was around in the 2000s remembers Bionicle. It was the thing for a while. Anyway, i like the idea of the different heads offering different abilities, even if it's rarely seen in actual fiction.

Yeah, come to think of it, shouldn't Darkmoon have mass-shifting, and Apeface give cons the ability to detach an arm and wield it as a blunt instrument in battle? No wait, that would just lead to kids permanently breaking arms off their new toys.SillySpringer wrote:I like Apeface's bio. His ability to give others the ability to mass-shift would go perfectly with Astrotrain.![]()
And while it makes some sense for Flywheels-homage-TM to let TFs make duplicates, it'd make a lot more sense for Scourge's little buddy Fracas. Dang shame CW just did Cyclonus, since Nightstick could have Retcon-Reconstruct, allowing any TF he's attached to to have been Skywarp, Bombshell, or whoever he feels like at the moment, in a previous life. That'd fit right in with some of these guys' abilities.
Not complaining of course. What better way to sell kids on the concept than vague, game-killing powers for the pricier toys? Galvatron powers up to infinity and blows up Cybertron, but Sentinel reorders the universe so that it continues to exist, and Chromedome jumps in and fixes Galvy's brain...then Wolfwire loops time back so that none of this happened in the first place!

It even says his Titan Master's power is a temporary forcefield which has nothing to do with reality-warping or whatever. This is a really bizarre interpretation when it's so obvious what they're going for and what they're referencing.

Well, I was talking about how children might misinterpret this.Kurona wrote:Why is everyone taking the "looks to impose his will upon the universe" line from Sentinel's bio extremely literally as if he has an actual physical power to do that? It's clearly just a vague line referencing his role in various media where he wants to dictate over others and impose his views upon everyone. Since this is an Autobot toy they made it a bit more vague to kids so they could possibly see it as him heroically imposing justice upon villains or something.

But don't worry: when the new Sky/Black-Shadow comes out, I'll be sure to explain to younger TF fans that this time, he really is the entire Space Mafia.

This does add to his already impressive putative power list.

I have to say though that the situation with him Internationally is going to be a pain or a Puzzle - Is he going to get released as a Sainsbury's Or Tesco exclusive or something like that or is European fans going to have to import him. (If they can find one at all) some importers got him I guess.
It would have been really cute if instead of a single figure (Because he's green ?) they'd have done a wave of 4 I'm sure there is plenty of wacky ideas for toys for such a line for example :
Soundwave or Ratbat Bat
Optimus Prime or Megatron Aligator
Cybertron Snarl or Beast Wars WolfFang the Wolf
Megatron Helicopter (from Highbrow)
Arcee from Blurr
Or even another style of Chromedome.

To slightly change topic I noticed it was crazy difficult to get Skullsmashers gun in an out of his tail - but after a while it seems to have loosened up - and yet no sign of stress marks - what is you folks experiences like with that part ?

Considering this line is heavily G1-based in design, I'd say there's zero chance of Kup not being a new mold based heavily on his original toy.
Also for Shockwave it's not really carrying over a previous mold if it's the first release of that mold by the company. Especially when the non-combiner CW molds like Ultra Magnus and Megatron are in the same line as the Titans Return figures in Japan.
