I'm extremely happy with the look of Blaster.
Even if old character models show that he and Soundwave should be the same height, I always thought of Blaster being a really tall robot... Almost as tall as Prime.
So for me, I think this version is pretty close to perfect.
Can't wait to get him, even if it's in Legacy packaging.

Blaster looks really good. I'm probably gonna pick him up, but I'd rather focus on getting Tigatron because Blaster's gonna be rereleased in Legacy. I'm hoping that the rumors of Twincast with Rewind are true, but I'm not gonna hold my breath over it

Apparently there was another exclusive "fan videoconference", where Pipes & Slammer were shown off (also the new SS BB toys including Arcee, but that is for another thread)



THIS however was what I wanted to see. Sure it may be nothing special to some, but It's what I was waiting for with Slammer.

In my humble opinion, it's worth tracking BOTH. They look awesome together and are each pretty much perfect toys.

TBH I think it depends on the version you want, Earth Mode or Cybertron. As G1 fan I prefer the Earth Mode to having Cyberton writing on him. So I passed on Seige version. Of course limited space and saving Money also played a role in this decision.

Welcome to the forums! It depends on what your preference is; if you like Cybertronian vehicle modes more than Earth ones, get the Siege version, but if you'd rather have an Earth car mode get the Walgreens exclusive one. You'll probably have better luck findng the Walgreens version as well, because the Siege version is a couple of years old now and may be more difficult to get hold of.

On the topic of Core Hot Rod, I don't hate it. Yeah it's not Masterpiece or Studio Series quality, but it looks like something a 6-year-old would enjoy playing with. If I collected Cores I would probably get one.

Get the Walgreens one, will be easy to find once its out.

Speaking of which, we are way late into the year. I know Pulse had a very limited quantity for a short time, but still no sightings at Walgreens... Probably stuck on a boat somewhere

Ehe... Not to burst anyone's bubble, but my local Walgreens is busy resetting the aisles for the holidays, and unless Transformers gets a special section, you may not see Red Alert in stores: I didn't spot any tags for them on the shelves.

Not that I recall, it's more just an assumption of "they made Soundblaster from Soundwave so they'll make Twincast from Blaster." But there's no evidence behind it IIRC.

I could also be completely misremembering, but I swear there was something about how Rewind fans would get him eventually which turned into Twincast might be coming. Oh well, now we have rumors of SG Blaster which might be the actual way we get Rewind as opposed to Twincast

Fan's hopes turn into rumors way too easily. Anyone who's had the verbal chain message experiment in school (or watched the latter half of Madagascar 2) will know what I mean.
